No but walmart might be dummies and not put them on
Many shops do not install tires with a lower speed rating than the stock ones, claiming liability reasons.

Might be worth checking out the Rocky Mountain private label tires at Discount tire. From what I've read, they're made in the US by GT (used to be made by Falken so if you find old reviews saying Falken, those reviews are outdated). They're well reviewed and run about $130 a tire.
I was going to buy the Rocky Mountain tires before I found the Sam's Club clearance deal on the Goodyear Duratracs.
Ate the dura trac clearance tires in store only? I didn't see any online.

Currently have the AT51s (265/70R17) on a 4Runner and they have been good for almost 50k miles. I was planning on getting the AT52s ($182) before winter, but I couldn't pass up saving $212, so I ordered these. Hopefully date code is not too old, but they do have a 90 day return policy.
Thanks OP!

It says that my Toyota Sequoia recommends speed rating of H (130 mph) or higher, and this tire says it's rated as T (118 mph). Do I really need H even though I never go over 90 mph?
In theory the speed rating is also an indicator of tire firmness and construction so usually best to stick with same or you may compromise ride. many stores like Costco won't sell a lower than oem speed rating

I literally got into an accident recently with my 9 year old daughter with "8 month" old Nokians that I got a killer deal on. Tires aren't something to f*ck with. For the safety of anyone you travel with and other people on the road, please check the manufacturing date. It should be stamped on the tire. If it is more than 3 years old, return it immediately. Next, check the origin of manufacture. This is also stamped on the tire, but tends to be trickier to find. If it originated in China, you aren't getting in the case of Kumho a South Korean tire, but a budget rebrand. Stay safe!

I need the LT265 for a chevy express box van. I was waiting until the 11th when the black friday deals drop for walmart plus members. Is it better to wait? I must have high quality (reliable) tires for upcoming van life. My current tires are 6yrs old and must be replaced before I begin my van adventure by end of this year.

I live across the street from discountTire but it says on their website they will NOT install tires that were purchased from somewhere else. I also spent an hour reading the reviews from the 'Corsa' brand and they are made in Indonesia and in some cases unsafe, low quality, and road noise.

I misread these tires wouldn't apply to me. My van requires:

245/75R16

and I'd need to make a decision before the end of the month because I don't want to get stuck paying another month's rent. Which is why early black friday appealed to me so much (from walmart).

Does anybody know how these do with snow? It seems to be rated fairly good but just want to check.

I put 50k miles on a set driving in CT and upstate NY, good snow performance, no issues. I ordered a new set to replace the old ones.
