I prefer my Gen 4 (with ANC) to my AirPod Pros. I don't like my ears plugged. ANC is obviously better on the AirPod Pros. And that's fine.

I have AirPods 2 (non pro) and im pretty happy with them. No silicon tip is honestly a feature at this point

I unlocked the secret with the AirPod Pros by getting some memory foam tips. Us, they really are worth it. The silicone tips would get warm after extended wear and fall out. Memory foam adds to the ANC.

Honestly I don't feel a difference between them. Both are comfortable, if anything the AirPods Pro 2 feel a little "softer" like you mentioned, but I don't hard tipped AirPods lacking that silicon tip makes them uncomfortable. You also cannot forget the advantage that hard tipped AirPods, have the ability to pretty much have natural transparency in a way

But definitely AirPod pros tips are not like other silicon tip earbuds I have tried, AirPod pro tips feel excellent, no pressure feeling

I tried the airpods 2 and I can run with them in trails and they don't fall. I bought the airpods pro 2 and I returned them because they kept falling (I tried different things to keep them in place). Searching online makes me think that I am not the only one with a similar experience.
Any one with a similar experience can comment about the airpods 3 fit (or 4; they seem identical in shape)?

That's what I want to know. I respect getting the pros' argument, but I'm asking for the basic model comparison. 3rd gen or 4th gen?

The Pros do not stay in my ear. I can only wear non Pros. I had the Pros and literally had to give them away bc they kept falling out, esp at the gym.

I'm like you with the Airpod Pros, no matter what tip size I use (and even bought and used the foam ones) one ear keeps falling out.
These 3rd gen ones also kept falling out for me and never felt fully secure cause they changed the shape. They felt like they were barely hanging in my ears and could fall out with any harsh movement.
Whereas the 2nd gen (and 1st I guess) were perfect and felt completely locked in my ears and I could go running no problem.
