For all of the hate NordVPN gets for...reasons?... I'll take them for, like, $6 for 2 years after 80-95% cash back, depending on the time of year and CB site).

Of course, you need to be rooted, but I refuse to own a phone I can't control so the do-as-we-say Apple ecosystem is out.

I mean, I guess the built in "ad blocking" has value for some, but that requires being on VPN all the time with reduced speeds and increased CAPTCHA requirements, which is annoying for daily browsing. Furthermore, if you're relying on your VPN to block ads rather than uBlock or Brave's baked-in blocking, you're doing it wrong. If a person actually cares about blocking ads, they should be using PiHole or AdGuard Home at the LAN level, anyway.
Again, to each their own. I choose to pay less because I like saving money. If this deal floats your boat, go nuts.

In any case, I think it's a pointless discussion by now. As of today with the deals available, I personally think paying $0.90/month for NordVPN (for 27 months, after 70% CB) makes more sense than $0.65/month for AdGuard (for 60 months, no CB I can find for the VPN, only the ad blocking product) given the benefits of NordVPN over AG; unless I'm missing something, there's literally nothing that AG offers that isn't as good or better from NordVPN. But if someone just wants "a VPN" and doesn't care about anything else, sure, AG will save them some dollars in the long run (maybe, unless I'm right and those 80-90% CB deals pop up for NordVPN like they have for years).
