Hell of a deal.
I wonder if a Mark III version is coming out soon?
Agreed, I caved and bought one. Gen 3 Artist is already shipping, but I'm not sure it's a big enough delta in functionality for my use case to justify the cost difference. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/...-amplifier It's OOS at Sweetwater, but in stock at MF.
What's the deal with waza?? I see all the boss pedals that are waza craft and like double the price. Is it really twice as good as the regular boss stuff?

Waza pedals are made in Japan now (previously some of them were made in Taiwan), regular BOSS pedals are made in Malaysia/China/Thailand/Taiwan. Some of Waza pedals have alternative mode.

I have one of these and the speaker is really worth the upgrade. However, with amp modeler pedals these days, I find I only use it for playing at home when I want to play loud. It is too big to lug around to gig. I'm not convinced the 3rd gen katanas are worth it so if you are looking for an amp in this form factor, this is great.
I traded the Katana 100 MK2 for the Katana Artist 100 MK3. Here is my thoughts. Artist Waza speakers sound bright and not muffled. Sounds so much better in the Artist. I paid for the Bluetooth functionality and surprisingly never use it because the controls are conveniently located on the front. The MK3 has a Pushed Amp setting and that is the one that I use 90% of the time. So if you don't need the Pushed setting, Bluetooth (because hooking a laptop to the amp can get annoying), and slightly refined sound, the MK2 Artist is a hell of an amp.
$399 looks to be the closeout price. Musician fiends discount coupons do not work (though you should still get 8% members points). I'd try calling them to see if they'll do at least 10% extra off. If that doesn't work, a smaller but reputable dealer like pitbull audio would be a good place to try for an additional discount -the smaller places are usually more likely to cut a deal if you ask for one.
