Last time I got the smokehouse and it was pitifully thin...
Not sure which sandwich is worth it.
The gyro is actually shockingly pretty good. Honestly one of the better ones I have had in recent years. I am not in a place known for great gyros so take that with a grain of salt but it was pretty good. I would just get 2 gyros, they are reasonably big.

Same here. They used to, but for the few months anytime there's a halfway decent deal they seem to disabled it. Also, when placing a mobile order and attempting to pick it up via drive thru (like any other fast food joint) they insist you come in to pick it up. I am one of those weird ones that actually like the food there, but with the insane pricing I'm always expecting them to just go out of business. The same group who owns them owns Wendy's, etc. I wonder how that ROI is looking.
This! I remember when their sliders were like $1 each on the app and then suddenly my local doesn't accept online orders. Now the deal is gone and they do accept lol. Their sliders and shakes are the only thing going for them.

Yeah same they used to have mobile ordering during covid then disabled it afterwards. My local arbys is old and beat up and looks abandoned. I never see cars there whenever i pass by it. I also have 2 local wendys 1 being brand new and the other one being really old and beat up but it does get heavy traffic and i do see a lot of people there which baffles me on why they don't update it since it still has the old wendys 90s look everytime i go there they never seem to have my full order with one of my items always out of stock and getting a refund from these fast food restaurants is such a pain.. only burger king actually has a good refund system when part of your order is missing.
I really liked the classic look of my local Arby's. It had a real wood trimmed ceiling and they had a microphone/PA system where they would announce when your order was ready. They even had tinfoil ashtrays up until the 2010's. Now it's a generic nothing after they did the remodel recently.

So, fun fact, Arby's 'Roast Beef' is delivered dehydrated and then rehydrated in store. They can't even serve a basic sliced roast beef. Thus this quote from the Simpsons:

It is a pita with sliced beef, sure but it's not even close to a proper Gyro.
Yes, they are *very* cheap for Gyros, but you're getting crap and they don't even cover it with tzatziki and tumeric like they should to mask bad gyro meat

I would guess the country of Kentucky laugh out loud I was in Cincinnati 2007-10 and if you wanted to smoke in public, you could cross the border and smoke anywhere you wanted there.

On another note, the decline of Arby's "deals" is hilarious. 3 months ago, they offered totally free sandwiches, then free with any purchase, then free with $10 purchase (but the cost of the sandwich counted towards the $10) and now BOGO. Pretty soon the "deals" will be adding money to the original price.

I like to see just how some of these fast food marketing department's work. Ranking all those deals in getting people to buy their products:
Ex: $5 regular cost sandwich and a $2.50 regular cost sandwich
1.) Free sandwiches to reel people in ($5 sandwich would be free or would be the best deal over the $2.50 sandwich)
2.) Free sandwich with any purchase (meaning if one wanted to really make use of this deal, they would get a sandwich that was priced lower than the cost of the free sandwich). For the sake of the example, one would buy the $2.50 sandwich and get the $5 free.
3.) Free with $10 purchase. One would buy 5, $2 sandwiches and get the $5 sandwich free.
4.) Buy one, get one. Buy a $5 sandwich and get a $5 sandwich for free (honestly, at this point, I would calculate the calorie per $ for each sandwich). If the $2.50 had more calories and I knew that could be filling, I would buy that sandwich over the $5. So $2.50 sandwich for $2.50 sandwich (this is because for BOGO deals, they will just charge you the higher priced one).
5.) Now that I have people hooked, I will make the sandwiches $6 and $3 respectively.

In the order of all this, I would probably think to put the buy one, get one free, before the "free with $10 purchase."

I didn't see the Chicken Salad Sandwich hitting the menu this year. That would be my preferred BOGO, I might try the Ruben instead. The CSS is pretty darn good and I found a real close knock off recipe on-line. The limited time deep fried Gobbler Turkey sandwich isn't eligible as one of the BOGO offerings unfortunately.

Hey guys how are the cheeseburgers? Thinking about getting the double cheese with bacon $11 bogo
I've had their burgers a few times, and I think they're pretty good. I'd take their burger over any burger from McDonald's but from me that's not high praise. When I want a burger I go to Culver's.
My favorite item from Arby's is the Greek style gyro. We don't have a gyro shop within 20 miles of my house but I have an Arby's less than 3 miles away. Likely not the most authentic but still scratches the itch.

My local Arbys doesn't accept online orders so i miss out on these deals all the time smh.
My local 2 free community newspapers have Arby's printed coupons once a month. The newspapers are found at grocery stores like Kroger, next to regular newspapers that you pay. Check your grocery stores to see if they have free community newspaper with Arby's coupons.

Wendy's and Arby's are owned by different companies -- QSR vs. WEN are their stock ticker symbols. QSR owns several other brands, such as Dunkin, but not Wendy's
