I don't have this brand, but looks identical so here's my experience with these.

Both are set to only activate in low light. One I placed under my bathroom vanity (hang on the wall thing used as a medicine cabinet over the thing). The light can't be seen as the area under the vanity is recessed some, but I guess this creates a dark enough area for the light sensor to not work properly because the light will come on with motion no matter the brightness of the room (there is a window in the bathroom and the bathroom gets day light). In this situation it's pretty useless because the light will last only like a couple of days before needing recharging. I gave up on it.

The 2nd one I placed inside a coat closet. Here, it works perfect since it stays dark in the closet and there is never active motion unless you go into the closet. Battery in this scenario lasts a very long time, weeks, maybe even a month or two.

So, all I can say is that under the right circumstances this can be great or terrible.

Based on my experience, I would assume this also won't work well under a kitchen cabinet due to the constant motion.

I didn't purchase this exact light, but I did have something very similar installed for a couple of weeks. They needed constant recharging and didn't work reliably even when fully charged. I ended up returning them and hard wiring lights to all my cabinets and put them on a light switch. I understand that may be too much for a lot of DIY'rs, but just sharing my experience that these rechargeable lights will likely not provide the solution most desire when it comes to under cabinet lights.

stay away from them, if you plan to install at active location. the battery hardly lasts.

I may have gotten the alliexpress version a while back. For some reason, my laundry area lacks any hardwired lighting. These are sufficient. I have some standard kitchen cabinets in the laundry room that have these underneath them. They provide adequate lighting, just enough to assist with completing laundry tasks. A no thrill solution if you too need a light source.

I'm using one in a dark closest. Work beautifully. Never ran the battery to dead, but over 6 months between charges for me.

These crappy things don't last long. Mine died within 6 months. Then I got the replacements, and they died within 6 months too.

How long did it take you to hardwire your lights and connect them to a switch? Thinking of doing the same.

Agree with the battery comment, but I love these. I installed it under my cabinet in the kitchen to get more light while washing dishes. Frankly, when I first bought it I thought it was too sensitive, in both sunny and night mode. It would turn on while I was several feet away and just entering the kitchen area, even during the day. So I would have to recharge every two days. It might just be the dust and grime from the kitchen, but it's not as sensitive anymore, but it's perfect now. But in that time, I've started to always keep them connected via USB-C so I don't know how long the battery lasts anymore. Love the brightness levels and color choices.

I don't think any battery operated light like this works properly or for long enough to last more than a week without having to recharge.
The motion sensors are also not great. Sometimes they stay on for no reason other times it just won't turn on.
If course different brands different results but I bought a pair from Costco as well, even those I wish I kept the package. I out one in closet they are already dim and closet is barely open.
Don't get me started with those cheap Temu ones, please don't waste money on those.
