Anecdotal feedback, but I bought one of these for our Kia Sedona minivan to go from CarPlay plug to the iPhone 15 (USB A to C) and it simply refused to work. Turning the cable around didn't help. However it worked perfectly fine for charging inside the house.

Just getting a cheap USB A to C cord (no adaptor caps) from UGreen did the trick.

Not sure if it's Kia, or the phone, or the cable that's finicky about CarPlay and usb adaptors.

Similar experience here. Keeps dropping connections when used for Android Auto. Works fine for charging.

Same experience here on my Toyota RAV4 Prime. It keeps disconnecting. So I end up returning cable.

Not sure if there are better adapters out there, but I tested these and the usb A only provides 8 watts of charging power. I can only assume getting 18W from a regular usb A to usb c cable should be more on the normal side.

I can't comment on these cables specifically, but I have bought a bunch of cables from Lisen over the years, as well as a car charger and had zero issues.

Thanks for this info. I'm so dang tired of buying shoddy 'nearly instantly disposable' cables. I still don't understand why even my cheapest 'well-used' electrical extension cord has lasted nearly 10 years... but these types of cables last MAYBE a year.

And yes, I've heard the same old excuse that these cables 'see a lot more use' or 'these are delicate', etc.

Trust me, a solid '5+ year cable' can absolutely be made. But no company/entrepreneur will step up to make it a reality.

Meanwhile... buying new cables year over year over year... : (

These cable are more for charging, not data transfer, you need a 10gb data transfer cable for CarPlay and android auto. I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HXH4...e_0_0&th=1

FYI..if you need this for your CarPlay or Android Auto, this is more of a charging cable. you will need a 10gb data transfer cable.
