Doesn't the performance suck on this one?

Doesn't the Ultra series have long battery life compared to other Intel series?

I'm talking about compared with other PC gaming handhelds

I don't have one and have never used one but I'm under the impression that the performance on these leaves alot to be desired versus the better options like Lenovo Go and ROG Ally line.

The 2nd review compares the Claw to the AMD based rivals with 7840U and Z1E.
Yep and it doesn't

performance is inconsistent. The main thing about it is that with the Asus ROG Ally it's not clear why this product exists. Originally it was priced higher than Ally. This deep discount may make it make sense for some. Personally I would go for the Ally X for its much larger battery, more consistent performance and better software, more RAM etc.

Yea I'm not sure how it'll compete, I think even the retroid 5 is a better buy since it has an OLED screen if you are going to do emulation because this thing is not good for PC games anyways.

Seems like the Intel Ultra wasn't intended for this use case. Cool to see in a handheld, but doesn't set any records.

Avoid this thing. They released a 1/4 baked project.

Core 5 version is a better purchase than the Core 7.

It's cheaper and not power starved. iGPUs are the same.

I think this iteration is just a failure. I have a lot more faith about the 2025 Lunar Lake refresh because the chip is much more energy efficient and can outperform the Z1 Extreme.

Regarding Retroid 5, yes for emulation I think it's a winner except Gamecube, Xbox, and later systems are going to challenge it on some games. Definitely would consider that product if emulation is the goal. I have the Retroid Mini and it's awesome.

Handhelds like this and Asus ROG Ally, Steamdeck, etc are mainly useful for higher end emulation (like Switch) and PC gaming.
