A piece of advice. Most of these "indoor" antennae don't work or they have poor reception with few channels and get impacted by things like led lights (yes, that's a thing - frequency interference). Best OTA reception is using a Yagi/Yagi like antenna above 30 ft. (whether it's attic/outdoor - attic is safer - something to do with lightning strikes). Went down the rabbit hole trying to get a decent number of channels - used to get a dozen channels using indoor (always had to watch without LED lights to ensure minimal interference 😕) - get about 80+ now - 40 miles from a major metro. Went with the GE attic antenna from Bezos' warehouse in 'Like New' condition for 30 bezos bucks.

They don't work. I have tried half of dozen of them and have them attached to next to the window.

It sounds like bezos bucks is stronger than dollar when it comes to TV Antenna?

Best and cheapest option is to use an older VHF/UHF outdoor antenna and 75 ohm coaxial cable.

Many HDTV channels are located at the UHF band. If you don't have access to an outdoor antenna, then go with a bowtie metal antenna. The signal is directional, so you must rotate the antenna for optimum performance if the broadcasting towers are not positioned at the same location.

HDTV signal works best via line of sight so a tall building can wipe out the reception. Expect performance to degrade beyond 40-60 miles. Don't waste $ on signal booster and special IC to improve reception. Keep the 75 ohm coaxial cable as short as possible. Avoid splitter since it can reduce the signal by 3 to 6 dB.
