No, that was the one with the Ryzen 7 7700.

What do you think the chances of lenovo making a 7i with amd 7800x3d or 9800x3d are? I got their i9 7i back when it was 1600 bucks and really liked the quality of their build, but ending up returning it due to intel chip paranoia and fact that they don't allow you to undervolt it.

They really should.

7800x3d (and likely the 9800x3d) are so much better in almost every way… for gaming.

Friends don't let friends buy Intel 13th/14th gen. This coming from someone who used to exclusively buy Intel.

Are 14th gen Intel's experiencing the issues 12/13th did?

It is a 13/14th gen issue. I don't believe 12th gen has the issue. We have a bunch of 12th gen i5 units at work that work fine. But all are newer 14th gen towers had to be replaced.

This seems like as good as it is going to get. Probably shouldn't bother waiting for thanksgiving. What does the community think?

oh boy, I was thinking of not buying 14th gen and going for newer one's. Oh well, might as well go with the devil you know.

The community thinks that no deal on an Intel PC is a deal because of their short life expectancy. You may also experience a ton of instability until the chip completely burns out. Intel keeps throwing patches at it, but no patch can solve the oxidation issues.

I predict a massive fire sale on all the Intel computers in the next 6 months and/or a possible mass recall. You can already see the signs.

Either get something with AMD or possibly even the new Intel Core Ultra.

And STAY AWAY from their 13th and 14th gen chips.

More issues with intel

So what's the better option? AMD 7700 or intel i7 14k?
12th gen processors not showing up in these pre-builts and I don't have the time/desire to build one of these anymore.
