Don't know who in their right mind would buy a ps5 pro when you can get this. Has DLSS as well which will negate any potential raw power the ps5 pro has over this.

No stores near me. Looking for a PC with similar specs for this price (or slightly more if it has 32GB RAM). Will keep a look out hopefully sometime between now and Christmas! Good deal for those with a store close by.

Specs look really good to me. Wouldn't hesitate to try it for the price, put it through the paces and return if not.

But not as powerful (GPU), not as compact, way more power consumption.
That's only relevant if you're comparing cross platform games... which, again, is a much more limited catalog by comparison.

Get back to me when the PS5 can run Photoshop, emulate Switch and other consoles, or generally do anything a computer can.

I'm sure Spiderman 2 will eventually come to PC.

So are you two just console warriors? Because the reviews for this aren't very good.
"Comes with ASUS proprietary motherboard that does not give great options for upgrading. Stock fan setup is terrible and doesn't adequately cool the GPU and CPU leading to poor parts life and reduced performance. RAM is too slow and bottlenecks the CPU resulting in poor FPS. The power supply is woefully underpowered and will not support any future upgrades. I tried to install additional fans and it killed the PSU. The only good thing is the GPU and CPU. You can build a similar setup for better"
The point was that comparing a PC to a console is asinine.

I don't know where you got your quote from, but ASUS doesn't make "proprietary" motherboards.

Based on that, I wouldn't put much stock in the rest of it.

And why the f do I need/want/expect a game console to run Photoshop?

Get back to me when your PC freezes my ice cream.
Are you dense?

The point is that a console is not a PC.

Thus, any comparison you have is hinging on a few exclusives that haven't been ported over to PC yet. The PC will always have the advantage in this regard because it's a multipurpose machine.

I can run Horizon Zero Dawn on this, but you can't say the same for your PS5 and Excel.

You are totally in the right here. I know its hard, but you really gotta disregard people like that, they are not willing to admit their wrongs and are only good for frustration.

This is a very fairly priced pc that can solidly run most games at 1080 or 1440 with frame rates higher than the ps5. My only suggestion would be bumping the ram up to 32gb.
