In the max extended A-frame configuration, this is 5' 6". That's the info I wanted, so I figure someone else might as well.
I got a 16 ft one last time from another brand it was way short. Just make sure you double check cause they have a weird standard of measuring the length on these ladders.
this is a lot shorter than your typical 5 rung little giant / gorilla etc. for most it may just touch your roof line, miss it completely (1 story). you should compare it to a regular 17ft version from little giant, gorilla, werner, etc before buying it. that being said i have the equivalent height werner (about 14ft total reach) and its handy for SOME cases, but is much lighter and smaller to store. the 17ft version is good for all cases but obviously heavier and more expensive. your best bet is the 17ft gorilla which has sold for $99 on some black fridays, not sure anymore with inflation. your second best is facebook where 17ft can go as low as $50, but they still quickly at that price.

I plan on picking one of these up. Do these typically sell out by black Friday? I'm hoping to wait until black Friday so I can buy this and a modular tool storage system

Black Friday is still pretty far away; I feel like there's a chance these could sell out

From my research, these multi ladders measure by "reach" not "length". So they take into account part of your body and arms.

I want to have something like this but know little about them. Is this brand as good quality as Gorilla? Is the height always stated as the height someone can reach? I'm used to the height of a ladder being stated as its actual height, ie. a 6 foot painter type ladder that is actually 6 ft tall.

Thx. Always feels like these types of ladders are a bit disingenuous in their advertising.

Little Giant ladders are very good quality. Gorilla for the most part just copied them. Our first LG ladder was bought over 20 years ago.

Little Giant is the original. Get a 17ft - 18ft one, it will change your life. For any ladder, subtract about 2-4 ft from published reach, as depending on what you are climbing on to, you'll diagonal the base from 60-85 degrees to scale up the ladder safely

Any of these brands will be good: Little Giant, Gorilla, Werner, Cosco. There's been a 17ft Hart on sale at Walmart for around $80 lately - it looks sturdy, copy of the 4. You can find these brands for under $100 on FB marketplace frequently.

Harbor Freight, Ironton, lot of copies out there - they all look sturdy but I dont have experience with them. There is an older style Werner design where the hinge is a big donut shape - dont get that one.

These ladders are heavier than the equivalent length fiberglass or aluminum. I'd stick with a light ladder for most cases. It makes long and short projects more bearable.
