From my research they sound pretty similar, although I've heard that Hisense can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to reliability and display consistency from tv to tv. Picked up the QM7 from BB yesterday and so far it is great!
Have you had a chance to watch any sports on it? I have a feeling I'm going to end up with this one. The u8n is pretty tempting at 899 but the reliability is key. I've been hearing that since TV you watch runs at a lower refresh rate it has to compensate by generating frames and it makes it look funny at 144hz

Also trying to decide between qm7 and u7n. According to rtings they are very close but they always slightly prefer the u7n. FOMO on YouTube pretty much says the same, if you need sports, the u7n is better annd gaming seems better n the u7 otherwise they are super close, he compared both to a Bravia. I would go by price but be they are same price.

No idea about reliability, price is now the same at Walmart, bb and Amazon. I come from an old 49s405 TCL and it served me well for years. Is it worth getting insurance to be safe in this???

Isn't the one from costco a better deal ?

TCL 75" Class - Q691 Series - 4K UHD QLED LCD TV - $649.99

This is $499 in store in most stores. choose the warehouse option in the Costco app and search for it for store price.

Watched a bit of basketball earlier today just to check and it looked fine to me. I have motion smoothing enabled just a bit. I also have a Sony X90K and sports look great on that TV, but then Sony probably has the best processing in the business. The Sony is our primary home theater TV, so I was fine w/ paying quite a bit more for a TV like that. The QM7 is a living room TV and I just wanted something bright that has good contrast as the room is very bright. Watched a couple 4K movies on it so far and I think it looks outstanding.

Thank you for your honest opinion, I'm sure it will help those like myself, who are a bit skeptical on it.

This is a direct comparison of the QM7, QM8, Hisense U7N versus Bravia9:

He recommends the QM7 over the U7, but RTINGS puts the U7N slightly over the QM7. Seems like it's pretty close to a toss-up overall. RTINGS specifically rates the U7N as (slightly) better for TV shows, sports, and for use as a PC monitor. They rate the QM7 as (slightly) better for HDR movies. Both have the same score in the other tested categories.

Sounds like they're both pretty nice. If you get the Hisense via Costco, you get the 5 year warranty. Is anyone offering a 5 year warranty on the TCL?

Edit: Also, for those concerned about warranty, it looks like TCL warranty is 1 year and Hisense is 2 year (unless you get the Costco which has a 3 year Hisense warranty plus the Costco extension to 5 years).

I picked this exact one up on the last deal - stunning TV. Streaming content in HDR 10+ is amazing on Netflix and Prime and such, the refresh rate is amazing. It'll pump out 144HZ on the first HDMI port, second one is 120HZ, the next two ports are both 60HZ. It really is a 65" high performance gaming monitor in my opinion. Games look amazing from the xbox as well.. only thing I haven't done is connect my gaming comp to it, but I'm sure that wouldn't disappoint either... fantastic price on a fantastic TV. The Google interface/menu is great as well - brightness is also incredible. Highly recommend!

I think a 75" TCL S4 was availble in Walmart for $398 or something earlier this week...you should check that out if only looking for a bigger tv in general
