Yes, the Irwin and Dewalts are cheaper. These are all metal, much smaller footprint, made in Norway. They are also much, much more precise than the other ones, though not quite as beefy. Still 330 lbs of lift per jack though.

For the next 2ish hours you can also get the cabinet jack attachments. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Viking-A...5015148295

That style attachment is not available for Dewalt or Irwin. Great for mounting cabinets or overhead range hoods/microwaves, heavy shelving, etc.

They are expensive but this is the cheapest I have ever seen them, and it also comes with a box. $135ish per jack is high but also very cheap for Viking Arm.

If you are not a woodworker or don't need precision, you are fine with Dewalt or Irwin or any other knock off from Amazon. However if you need precision or just like fancy tools (looking at you, Knipex buyers) then this is a solid deal.

Thank you! Been wanting to get them, and couldn't stomach the $199 retail price for each of them.

The dewalt has countersunk screw holes to attach wood or other material to. Easy to make a DIY cabinet lift and attach. Either way, these type of tools are great!

Tbh I own once viking and one Irwin. Both feel like very high quality pieces of gear, I'd suggest for most people the Erwin's a significantly better deal, I really don't notice very much difference if any between the two and operation other than the different shape.

Irwin is on sale right now too.

Ps: The Amazon knockoffs are all pretty crap.

I think calling it a 330lbs jack sounds more impressive than "0.165-ton jack" 🤔

I dunno about that, I have a pair I bought for like $40 and they were able to lift my sawstop. I've been using them to lift my jointer (600lbs) and a few other heavy woodworking tools without a problem.

It's a European company so I think they're just going by the tech sheet or whatever. But yeah it's funny hah

No, these should not be used for your car. Just use a scissor or bottle jack.

Also, if you are just using them for lifting, then yeah there won't be much difference. But if you're a woodworker or a carpenter, there is a major difference between these and Irwin's. These are much, much more precise when lowering.

It's definitely a niche tool.

This is just a tool that makes installing cabinets a little easier. These are not a necessity.
