If you don't care about the full size coffee option go with original line instead of this vertuo line

Much cheaper pods and tons of 3rd party options.

Right, but the original line machines are more expensive.

Avoid this used one from Woot. With holidays coming up you can get new ones for $20-30 more.

I know the Essenza mini is pretty well received on the Nespresso Reddit forum. My friend bought one based on that and he's had no issues for the past few months.

Honestly it seems all the original lines machines are reliable with some people mentioning the Pixie has lasted them over 10 years.

Vertuo is slightly less reliable but it's mostly the older Breville models with the electronic open lid vs the manual one. Even then all are pretty decent.

I mean it's the inkjet vs laser model. They know they can sell these vertuo machines cheap since there is practically a monopoly with Nestle selling all the pods until 2030 I believe.

Original line has access to a bunch of 3rd party pods which are cheaper

I use my machine for espresso/speciality drinks so the coffee size option on the Vertuo I have is rarely used. But I know it is a huge selling point for the Vertuo that the original line doesn't have
