I've had one of these and that's probably all I'd pay for it. The wood is rather heavy so you wouldn't use it without the legs. Once the legs are raised it's very unsteady. The build quality is so poor the drawer often falls on its own. And there is no way I'd put a drink on it unless it was sitting on a table. That said, if you want to put it on a table. Works great. Not as sleek as metal stands but still works.

Final opinion, not a slick deal when accounting for the quality.

Why wouldn't I just use the table, itself, at that point?

Did yours use rivets at all the joints like this one appears to?

The problems with rivets are that they easily work themselves loose and there's no effective way of tightening them other than smashing them down. Cheap TV trays get wobbly for the same reason.

Swapping them out for nuts, bolts, and a couple washers would fix the issue. But whether it's worth the effort on a $14 tray is debatable.

My kid asked for a Bambu Lab for Christmas, this Bamboo Lap is close enough.

And the drawer that falls out is the 3D print.

I use it for a laptop and add a keyboard and mouse. It allows the screen to be a higher level.

The rivets work just fine. They didn't come loose after 3+ years. But once they are fully extended, it is just a little too wobbly and sometimes collapses if using on your bed or couch.
