If you were really a fanboy you'd want Microsoft to continue to be competition, because you'll only suffer more when Sony becomes the only game in town in the TV console space.

Ask Nvidia fanboys how their wallets feel with AMD losing GPU market share.

It doesn't seem like there are as many good xbox series X or S deals this year - wonder if they cut production. I bought this same model and bundle for $349.99 during the sweet WalMart deal last year but returned it because I didn't REALLY need a new Xbox. But now my existing one kicked the bucket and I can't find anything close to as slick. Black Friday is coming... so I hope to get somethinG $399 or below for non-military

Every publicly traded company has the unspoken mission to corner the market and raise prices. Sony included.

If there is no competition, then prices will skyrocket.

Even at $399.99 brand new disc Series X is a better deal than the digital Series X $449.

Now it would be interesting to see if the series X digital edition would drop to $399 or less, with or without store gift card, while the Series X disc edition stays at $499.99. This scenario is rather realistic unfortunately.

I really don't believe we will ever see $299.99 series x disc edition anytime soon.
Not arguing this deal at all, just saying with MY Target 20% off I am holding until at least Black Friday is over

No, $299 will never happen and I think $350 again would even be pushing it but I am almost 99% sure we see a Walmart, Target, Amazon etc $399 coming very soon, right?

Aye aye captain.

The repeat of the $350 series x deal for this holiday is very unlikely IMO thanks to $449 digital Series X now being a thing. It didn't exist last year and the console sale was less worse. Now it is and MS can't undercut digital Series X and S either.

Diablo IV is not a physical disc copy nor is it a case in the box with a code.

It's tied to the console so you'll get a digital copy after logging into XBL on the console.

Just FYI.

I'm not sure who Xbox is for anymore. *No console exclusive games. Games are available on PC and slowly becoming available on PS5.*Multiplatform games typically do not perform as well as PS5 counterparts*Outdated controllers*Gamepass being the sole reason for this system to exist but once you let your Sub expire, what does that really leave you, a bare empty system ready to be traded in to get a PS5 Pro which is superior in every way. *Stopped development on backwards compatibility.
Ps5 pro is 700 without a disc drive, 1k and higher in other countries (might aswell go PC). Gamepass in Currently the Best Deal in Gaming. A lot of ppl like the ps4 controller more than the ps5 one. They updated the series S/X controllers from last gen so they're not outdated. Comparing a system that cost double the price is crazy work.

First off, i have had zero to do wit anything regarding consoles for the past 10 years

I am 30 now
Id like to get back into gaming. Leaning towards PS5 but also on the verge. Mainly because, time. I really want the best, but its a bad investment simply because, ill prob play maybe 10 hrs a week

Can anyone help? I do need a "pasttime"
I would look into the current gen game library first, and make sure there are a number of games that interest you. I'm 40, bought a PS5 because I've always bought Playstations, and I'm not really into it at all. I could've just kept on with my PS4 Pro and missed very very little. Many games are *still* being made for both PS4 and PS5.

Yes, and that is why I'm downgrading PS5 to PS4 Pro. There is not a decent options to play exclusively on there while the PS4 Pro has SEVERAL. Plus PS4 consoles can be had for dirt cheap. Low cost of entry vs high cost of entry for the SAME gaming experience lol

I'm getting my $ back and wait until PS6. PS5 Pro is a disappointment for casual gamers

You are not being objective in any sense.

I have an first gen Series X and it crashes on games like CoD, Fortnite, Rainbow 6. I've replaced all the thermal paste and pads. I even swapped PSUs and still the same. My kid wants me to buy a new one but 1. Why would I give them more money and 2. What if it just starts happening again. I don't know what to do.

Might just be time to replace it.
Only fail safe on electronics is to buy extended warranty. Sometimes you just get a lemon 🤷.

Buy a new one, put the old one in the box, return it.
