for $15 more(offset by a free $10 gift card) you can get the LIAN LI O11 Vision, it has full support for 140mm fans.

have to evaluate the tradeoffs, antec has made some legendary cases.

However, no fans are included with the 011. You'll need at least 4 fans, which substantially adds more out of pocket expenses.

Antec C7, great at this $115 value. Would like to see a Antec C8 around the $125 mark (with fans). Not sure if that will happen BF or not.

yes that's the big tradeoff, and the included fans on this deal are argb, that matters to some people, plus they are pwm.

i'd rather do a bare case and get the thick(30mm) 140mm fans, that can turn slower, and move more air with a lot less noise.

a 3-pack of 140mm arctic storm fans is 20% off right now, so $11 each?? not argb tho: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...HR59/?th=1

$125 for a c8 with the included 160mm fans would be a good deal indeed! looks like a great case, maybe we'll see it on black friday?

1 need 140mm radiator support, so i've been looking at the horizontal gpu version of the havn hs420, $$$ and huge tho

That's why I'm having a tough decision between the Antec C7 and the Lian Li Lancool 216. The 216 comes with two, massive, front, 160mm fans and one, rear, 140mm fan. And if you bundle it with the RGB fan controller, it's only $109 out the door (Amazon). So do I want larger fans, older design, or do I want smaller fans, newer design? Either way, the price is spot on for both of these setups.

tough call, they are both winners at the right price.

the 160mm fans on the c8 are 32mm thick, and they might be quieter with that bottom location, but if it's on long carpet the airflow might be compromised a bit... i've added small dolly wheels to cases to fix that, plus it makes it easier to roll out from under a desk.

i think that this is the lancool 216 fan, looks like it's also 30mm thick: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...-fan-black

remember that old silverstone(?) case that had three 180mm fans? it had a flat metal bottom underneath the fans, and so does the havn hs420... mashes the carpet down flat.

I can remember when Antec was one of the few aftermarket gamer cases out there. Now, it seems they just copy others and have lost all of their innovation and drive.

I have my tower on a caddy with wheels. i got it at IKEA. Gaming section. Solid metal construction. Surprisingly Sturdy. Inexpensive too.

Most of the PC tower players all copy one another now. But it's good to see a classic company like Antec back in the game. My first gaming build was with Antec.

How do these fishtank designs compare in terms of cooling to mesh front? I like the looks of these better, but not worth it if they're hotboxes

Surprisingly well. You lose a bit with the air turning 90° from the side, but if you're an air cooled person, these really might not be your best choice. These are more for the larger AIO water cooled PC persons.

I ordered this to move my rig from the Montech Sky Two I built it in 18 months ago because after moving my PC from under the desk to a sidecar table the corner pillar blocking the view was annoying. Reverse-blade fans are still scarce beyond what comes pre-installed (so weird) so I ordered a pack of cheap Thermalright ARGB fans for the bottom. Using an AIO cooler.

Like that the PCI slots can be rotated for vertical GPU mounting w/o needing a big bracket, just a riser cable.

This will be my first Antec case in over 20 years. Had a couple back around the turn of the millennium.

Do you think 3, bottom, intake fans would allow enough air intake into the case as the only source? I was thinking about that route. 3 intake fans on bottom, 3 exhaust fans at top, 1 top/rear exhaust fan, and running a 360 AIO out of the side of the case.

However, I'm concerned there isn't enough intake clearance/space at the bottom of this case for those 3 intake fans to properly push air into the case to keep thermals under control. Case will be sitting on a caddy, similar to your setup.
