Would be nice, but Aquaglide doesn't sell many kayaks with the pump so this is pretty standard for them. Personally I have multiple hand pumps from SUPs wouldn't want yet another one. A powered/rechargeable pump is a major convenience, so I'd highly recommend buying a good quality one.

I have the Aquaglide Chelan 120 and am very pleased with it, but I like that this one is about 6 lbs lighter.

Right now Aquaglide has the Navarro 110 for just $119 which is a good price. You have to be careful to not over-inflate the side tubes on the Navarro though (don't ask).

Is there a way to tell if the side tubes are adequately inflated? Is subjectively testing the firmness not passable? I have some cheap Walmart hand pumps from other inflatable objects which don't have a pressure gauge, so I'm slightly concerned about getting the right pressure. Thanks.

This is a really good deal. I have had the Deschutes 145 for 3 years now and it's held up really well. It rides well, tracks great and is relatively quick. At this price I think I may pick up another

Do you have to get a pump that fits the Aquaglide valve?

Many people live in apartments, that's all they can do. Even if you have a place to store a kayak nothing beats to casually travel somewhere and have a kayak in a bag just in case, not on your roof. Drying is a pain but it has some benefits not a single hard shell kayak can offer.

Do you use with a battery operated (i.e. portable) pump to inflate?

This isn't a high pressure inflatable, and shouldn't take long to inflate w/ a hand pump.
My Sea Eagle has two chambers of ten psi each, and I inflated it by hand many times.
I do have a nice electric pump now tho, because "why not" Smilie

Not sure and wouldn't risk it. Best to use a pump w/ a gauge.
