CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called ExtraCare Bucks (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as Free after ECB For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions then earning more to keep doing the same. Its a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Ditto what Autumn said - if $1000 is too big a chunk to pay right away, CareCredit is accepted by most DVMs.

Facepalm Dammit! We paid $200 for the warranty. Do I pay the extra $100 + tax for the washer and call it done? Annoyed Hate. grown up decisions.

Comfort It's the anesthetic - it's expensive to knock a dog out and do surgery.
i'd take the 100 and get new. easier than being without it weeks at a time while its getting fixed.

and what's wrong with the pot roasts you make?

They made him fill out an accident report. It was all caught on tape. We don't know who is going to pay for it. Stress
his employer should have worker's comp. have him talk to his supervisor and get the workers comp insurance info and file a notice of claim, regardless of whose fault it is.

if the other company has any fault, talk to their supervisor and get their CGL (commercial general liability) insurer info an make a claim. If they don't have CGL, then make a claim directly with the company.

He doesn't get a vote. GO NOW. There is a worker's comp claim involved - he needs to be seen ASAP.

Ranting My damn house is falling apart. The power in my dining room keeps going out. Just the outlets, not the overhead lights. There are 2 computers and a printer plugged in and that's it. Mad

Tell him if he waits, then workman's comp may give him trouble paying for it.

Gaah..... Installation is $130. Need to talk to DH.

My pot roasts are usually crock pot. They come out dry and awful. We'll see... this one has potential.

Yea I was going to do the CC, but decided I'll just pull it out of the equity loan and pay it back over time. Not much I can do at this point.
Ironically I just got approved for an interest free card till Oct, but havent got the card yet. So maybe i'll charge it and do a fee free 0%apr balance transfer or something..Dontknow

I would have shopped around, but I feel safe with them for some reason. He's been going there the last 10 years. So they know his history and health issues.
