You can set it up to automatically switch to a specific input on power-on, so that makes it good to use as a monitor.

You can access the advanced picture settings while you're playing whatever media you're viewing and pressing the star button. It's weird. You can't change advanced PQ settings for smart TV apps in the main settings page. I changed it to movie mode and warm picture as that's what I'm used to. I think most people would prefer the cooler (bluer tinged) settings. It's good to know this TV has a lot of calibration settings if you want to go crazy.
I changed the sound settings to Music. I found it a lot better than the default one, which I thought was bad. It actually sounds fairly decent in Music mode.
