I need an air fryer and this seems like a good deal but everytime ima bout to buy one i read the comments and realize the thing might give me cancer apparently
While I completely and quantitatively agree with your statement about FDA policy above, I'd also say your trite posts, lacking details, end up more trolling and doom-saying than productive. Perhaps you could provide a post more supportive of your assertion. If not, please note that a foil liner for the air fryer can perform double-duty as a foil hat, to keep "Them" from reading your thoughts.

Oh, and for everyone else, I bought the 8-quart unit at Costco ($40 but w/ rack), and am very happy w/ it so far. I haven't experienced any problem with window fogging/soiling, and really like the window and interior light. I also completely agree with previous poster about the power button being easily mistaken for the "Start" button, and with the presets times being annoying (but in no way a deal-breaker). If things don't immediately wipe clean, I just fill it w/ warm or hot water, maybe a little dish soap, and everything generally wipes right out.. At the price point, and build quality, of most air fryers, I consider them a consumable, and went for the ~$40 Gourmia versus the $299 Breville "Smart Oven Pro", as numerous reviews, and great SD posts show the Breville is no more reliable, and no longer even has a user-replaceable fan (part no longer sold), than these cheap units.
Some people see "non-stick" or "Teflon" and get pretty OCD about it.

This is temperature controlled within the thermal ranges for Teflon so i'm not seeing the big issue for the rest of us.

Looks similar to the Target 6QT size that was available yesterday. But, this is the same price as the Target sale and 2QT bigger.

I bought the $40 costco Gourmia unit last month and its been great. I'm assuming this is basically the same underneath the exterior. At least the controls are the same. This one looks nicer on the outside though, wish I had this instead. The only thing the Costco unit had was a wire rack to make a "2nd floor" for the air fryer but honestly its kind of awkward to use.

I have an old Gourmia (3 years old), and it still works great. I'm thinking about replacing it with a new one. I would like to replace it with a Ninja, but the prices are too high. This new Gormia will probably be my target.

I got the same. My only gripe is that you can't adjust the preset times. Airfry is defaulted to 20 mins and almost anything I air fry is burnt on that setting.

I don't have this model, but I've used air fryers from several different brands including Gourmia, and I've never seen this. I'd wager that either yours is broken or you just don't know how. On most Gourmias, when you select a preset, the time and temp is displayed. There will also be a button with "Time" over "Temp" (or "Temp" over "Time", honestly don't remember which) that you tap to toggle between adjusting the two. I have seen some models where Time and Temp each have their own adjustment arrows, but the toggle seems to be the most common to me. What model number do you have? I'd like to look at the manual and see if what you claim is really the case.

Sorry I should've elaborated. Yes the times are adjustable but that's an extra step I wish I didn't have to do each time if I can just adjust the pre-set times myself. Or have my own pre-set settings. I pretty much only airfry the same things (fries and nuggets) so it can be tedious having to do extra toggling each time.

Oh, you want to change the default preset settings - I don't think I've ever seen that. I'm not ever sure if I've seen one with user favorites buttons. Sorry for misinterpreting what you said. My family almost never uses the presets, always manual time and temp adjustments.

If adjusting the time down every time is too much effort, you could just take the food out early. Wink

No worries. I didn't think I was clear with my original statement 😂 it's all good. It's a matter of convenience. I'm still using it and otherwise happy with it. The one thing I like with this compared to my previous airfrier is that it cooks food quicker, French fries usually took me 20 mins in my old Emerald AirFrier but now it's only 6-8 mins on the Gourmia.

Great deal, pretty close to what it bought it for last year on Black Friday (if not matching it outright). I already have the black one so I'm buying the white for my sister, it'll look perfect in her kitchen

Better deal than last years early BF Walmart deal, Gourmia 7qt deal of $35.
Old thread from last year.
https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/894988

My only real annoyance on the one from last year, and appears to carry over to this year's, is where the illuminated power button is.
I accidentally press it instead of the start button. Then you have to start over again. The 7qt from last year air fries fantastic.
