it will work if your battery is 2 volts or higher but it won't work at all if your battery is 2 volts or lower and that is because this one does not have a boost mode. the boost mode is for when your battery is 2 volts or lower. if you just put this without the boost mode on your battery and let it sit there even for half an hour it won't take any charge at all from the pack because batteries that are two volts or lower can't take a charge from a pack like this the way the technology works and you have to do an override instant boost from the pack in order to start the car. Enter the code at checkout. It gives an error that the code didn't work but if you look at the totals it does deduct $12. However, I think this other one is a better deal - it's 2000A and includes a cigarette lighter adapter so you can power inflators, vacuums, etc. It's $32 instead of $23 https://a.co/d/iVhcxs3

Thanks for the heads up about the other jump starter.
I ordered that one, we'll see if it will handle my vehicles when needed, one has a 6.2L gas engine so hopefully this will be up to the task.

I would strongly suggest watching Project Farm's in-depth testing and comparison video on these jumpstarters to make sure you get a good powerful reliable one, since 95% of them are underpowered unreliable garbage, and in the case of this one it doesn't have boost mode to start a very low or totally dead battery, only a somewhat low battery.

Having one of these is a convenience factor. Do you want to be sitting in a cold car for an hour or longer waiting for roadside assistance or do you want to be on your way in a few minutes. Save your roadside assistance plan for tows and flats

These just do not work very well. My wife had a failing battery, not even dead and it still could not jump start the car. This was during the summer; not in winter. Hooked to my trickle charger and it charged enough to get to the store and get a new battery.

Some are better than others. I got the "brand name" one and i've used it for other vehicles. Thankfully never needed it for myself yet.

Devices like these are used very rarely but when used, you want it to work. So, instead of just looking for deals, buy a unit that is tested and recommended by independent reviews (not Amazon reviews). More expensive ones are not ecessarily the best but the cheap ones often don't deliver. Having used multiple "Jump Start/Booster" units like these over many years, I have learnt not to rely on random cheap units. I recommend Project Farm reviews.

I think this will be good to have for hybrid car owners. It's good to have in order to start the hybrid computer in case of 12V battery going down.

They are all chinese made even Noco. I have a noco jumstart and two maintainers. I also have two cheap Gooloo brand. They all work if your car has minor trouble starting. If your battery is dead or you neglected to change battery knowing it has constantly fails then you need the better brand like Noco. I live in CA so cold start not an issue, mainly use if I have not driven the car for awhile. If you haven't changed your battery say last 4-5 years, then get better one before going out of town.

As someone who lives in a area with bad winters its highly recommended that everyone has both. Even if you drive frequently its worth buying and throwing in the trunk.
