As a Dewalt guy, I would strongly recommend getting the M12 ratchet over this. These are very big and bulky, and even if they have more torque than some of the M12, that's not what you want in a ratchet. I think I have around 20 Dewalt 20V tools and one M12 high speed ratchet 😂 I actually waited until they came out with these to buy that ha.

I agree, the need for a cordless ratchet is in tight spaces where you need the 90 degree angle and can't easily just use a hand ratchet. I pretty much only really use it for auto repairs where it makes a world of difference when you have no space to turn a ratchet.

If it matters the DeWALT is 70ft lb and the Milwaukee is 35 ft lb.

There was and may still be a bundle of M12 for $200 with extra tools you could resell. I was just going to take the ratchet, but I didn't see great comments, so that scared me off. I was considering the M18, but I don't have anything Milwaukee M18. I got an electric M12 jacket, so that is my reason I considered it.

Also, this was like $120 plus a 10-20% discount a few weeks ago but I missed it because it seems like deals reset at a weird afternoon time. I checked at bedtime and it was done, but I was also in the UK, so I can't keep track of everything.

I sooooo want one of these, but I rarely do any major automotive work anymore.

What other use cases can I use as an excuse? I do have electric screwdrivers, plus dewalt impact and drive already.

I use my milwaukee ratchet to assemble/disassemble gym equipment and other things with nuts and bolts. Saves me so much time it's already paid for itself 10 times over.

Feel like they have one with 70 or around that from Milwaukee, they make a lot of different 3/8 M12 ratchets. I like my low torque high speed one, any kind of small screws you don't want 70ft/lbs because you would be snapping them left and right 😂

I use mine for small automotive (anything interior/any small engine bay stuff), small engines (clutch covers with like 20 bolts), and to snug up pretty much anything fast. It's saved me a ton of time for sure, but I do have a lot of toys to maintain.

I almost bought this last time, but the Dewalt 20-Volt Cordless 3/8 in. to 1/2 in. ratchet DCF510B seemed much better. It's on sale at HD for $199. It has switchable 3/8" and 1/2" anvils. Same body, different head. Aside from the width of the neck and price it's basically a 2-fer.
