Seems like a better deal than the Costco benchmark

There is currently a rebate for installation. Can recover $190 back.
You need to buy at least two appliances to qualify for the rebate, right?

I know for me, the Costco German Bosch was cutting it real close for the height. I ended up looking elsewhere because I was worried it wouldn't fit.

I don't think so. This is on installation.

I saw it at https://terms.lowes-rebates.com/30268.pdf, but the rebate is lowe's gift card, right?

Model # KDFE204KPS Kitchen Aid for 748.00 looks like a good deal with free shipping from Home Depot KitchenAid 24 in. PrintShield Stainless Steel Front Control Tall Tub Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub, 39 DBA KDFE204KPS - The Home Depot or you can buy it at Best Buy that cost 30 dollars for shipping but has free installation
KitchenAid dishwashers look nice on the inside and surface, but underneath most use the same parts as the cheapest dog poop whirlpool model they sell.

I was able to get the right price once I logged in. One thing to note. As far as i can tell, this version does not have the adjustable 3rd rack. It has the 3rd rack and is removable, but this rack does not allow the wings of the rack to drop down to make it fit larger items.

The floor model on display had adjustable 3rd rack. Bosch 500 does not have. Hope that is true. I am waiting for Lowe's to install this.

Dishwashers really are a crapshoot. Lotta stuff on Reddit about how its difficult to get parts for this dishwasher and its super expensive to repair.
I went with this Maytag for half the price (which is almost exactly the same as the Kitchenaid 604 series) . It is still available for 450 shipped thru perks at work.

I just got the Maytag from this deal. I'm returning it. It is loud. Constant hum/buzz throughout the wash cycle. Cheap plastic everywhere(plastic leveler already stripped) had to use shims. Cheap looking stainless steel door with cheap plastic inset. It does wash and dry well, but the humming/buzz is just too much for me, it's just always there. I will gladly pay double for no buzz!

Interesting. I compared the Maytag to the Kitchenaid 604 and the Bosch 300...I found the Bosch to be cheap feeling in comparison.

You are correct. I just went to look at all of them. I was shocked at how cheap they all felt. The Kitchen definitely has a better door. The stainless steel finish on all of them was terrible. I guess that's the new anti-fingerprint finish everyone is using. I'm going to call maytag and have the send me a new unit. The buzzing throughout the cycle can't be normal.

I'm buying this. Mine went out. Tried replacing the water inlet valve after hiring a guy to diagnose it ($85) and it did not help. I'm not sinking any more money into it. Thanks OP.

This will be my third dishwasher in 3 years.

1. GE dishwasher bought in 2020 -> control board went out after 2 years. Expensive to repair. Super pissed because it never did that great of a job to begin with
2. Used Bosch on facebook market place - 12 years old got it for $100 and it worked WAY BETTER than the GE. No third rack though Not mad it crapped out on me since it was old and I got it cheap.
3. This bosch dishwasher. I'm buying it because of how good the used one I got worked.

The quality of dish wash was much better on the bosch and I only had to scrape big food off. Dried egg yolk, dried sour cream, dried avocado etc all had no issues with the bosch. Just tried not to get any real food particles in e.g. rice.

I am getting mine tomorrow so I will let you know. What do you mean they used "shims" and what is the plastic leveler ?

I had to use shims on one of the floor leveling feet. They are cheap plastic and one was stripped. It's unimaginable they would use cheap plastic to support the weight of an appliance. But here we are. Let me know how it goes and if your unit has a non stop hum/buzz.
