Looks like these are Gree rebrand (2nd tier after the Mitsu/Daikin Fujitsu IMO, but still good)
The product brochure just links to Gree.

That's what I have gathered as well doing research. Even the outdoor unit is branded gree. it is a great deal for 5 zone especially compared to gree price. Also gree has a partnership with daikin.

"Daikin and Gree are air conditioning manufacturers that have a partnership that includes joint ventures and the sharing of a Global Cooling Prize:
  • Joint ventures
Daikin and Gree have two joint ventures in Zhuhai, China:
    • Zhuhai Gree Daikin Device Co., Ltd. Produces low-cost compressors and printed circuit boards (PCBs)
    • Zhuhai Gree Daikin Precision Mold Co., Ltd. Merges Daikin's mold technology with Gree's manufacturing expertise to produce molds quickly "

  • System includes: one (1) 45,000 BTUH outdoor multi-unit compressor five (5) 9,000 BTUH Wi-Fi enabled wall mount units five (5) 25 ft. line set assemblies with 14/4 Gal. communication wire included five (5) infrared remotes with I-Feel automatic temperature sensors and (5) complete install accessory kits with flexible drain lines, wall sleeves and drain adapters for rigid PVC piping
  • 36,000 BTU cooling and 40,000 BTU heating for powerful year-round temperature control

does anyone know what BTUH is vs a BTU? 45k != 36k or 40k... FYI most minisplits are matched you usually can not replace the outdoor unit or the indoor units with random equipment, it has to be compatible so if the company is not around or won't sell you old/compatible parts, you end up need a whole new system. I never heard of Brisa and I've bought/installed 5 separate mini split systems over 20 years (at various homes I bought).

Also its awesome it comes with seemingly everything you need for 25' installs... if you can find a central location where all 5 units can be installed within 25' including bends and turns... Longer lines will probably cost you $350 plus for a 35-50' and will probably require additional refrigerant to be weighed in at probably around $150-250 a lb. And R410a is being phased out, I thought it was actually supposed to be illegal to sell new units as of 1/1/2024 but they must've delayed the rule. You can still get R410a cheap and even R-22 which was banned before R410a is still avaiable; it just costs more.

I would've 100% jumped on this if I needed something, it is a slick deal if the quality is there. I paid about $650 wholesale for each of my head units for my current American Standard system.

SEER: 21 (no SEER2 figure given)
HSPF2: 10

Expected quality makes this a good deal for any needing that many zones and who don't mind the cassettes. TU

Apparently BTUH is BTU per hour. Never heard of that unit but it would be analogous to kW. 45kBTUH is ~ 13kW

I am not quite sure how they compare but given that these I believe are made by gree which is a relatively decent company in this segment and that you are buying it from Home Depot and have 90 day return I think this might be a more convenient option. And I figure Home Depot might be easier to deal with on warranty and anything else that might come up I also think the line sets are longer at 25 ft versus 16 ft for the cost way

Solid deal and Gree is definitely legit. But Boreal website not helpful for longer line set or larger/smaller indoor units (12K/6K instead of 9K). Hoping generic/Vevor line sets could work with these. Anyone care to chime in?

I'm sure they would, my installer was able to extend them either using couplings or soldering. I bet these systems are very similar as far as line set comm wiring and line set sizes, esp chinese brands. Why reinvent the wheel. I could see euro brands doing their own thing.

The Costway units are manufactured by AUX, which I think most would consider to be a tier below Gree.

With Gree having a much larger market share, I expect you would have better luck if you ever needed parts/ service.
