Yah 14c/16g/24/1TB. It's ok. just a few dollars difference. Microcenter is too far for me to travel to pick it up. I wanted to pick it up on my way to work today!

Technically, Apple's terms and conditions state that they can ask you for student verification later even for shipped units and if you cannot provide it, they have the right to charge you the discount. It's somewhere in the small print. Of course, they don't usually do that. Just saying that it's possible.

Picked up today in Boulder. No edu email, no id check, and im a middle aged adult, not a student. You fools can pay more if you like but there's literally zero risk to buying through the edu for less. Enjoy the high horse, I'll enjoy the extra money in the bank. Fraud!? Lol.

Again the EDU prices are similar to MicroCenter's...LOL! There is no magic to buying through Apple EDU...In most cases MC prices are slightly better. You are comparing the M4 16/256 model @ $499.

If you are big on Apple EDU....go ahead and purchase the MacBook Air M2 16GB for $899, while Coscto Members can purchase for $749. MicroCenter will even PM that price as well. Not every EDU pricing is better than getting a much better deal outside of Apple's website.

They do reserve the right to audit purchases from the education store, and if you can't prove that you are eligible, they can charge your credit card for the difference or send you an invoice (payable in 15 days). I was a student and continue to be one in my professional life. Whether I am taking chemistry 101 or a senior level course in linguistics or pursuing a masters in nuclear engineering, I am always and have been a student. Am I an Apple Fan Boy...nope...although I do have mac technology in my house. I guess the deal is this... I do not want to pit one technology after another, but want to learn.
