At first I that we'd never have a use for the clamp light but my wife uses frequently uses it for reading. Plus I found a use for my smaller 2A battery.
The spotlight is bright. The cat sneaks out the back door at night, this will be my go to.
As others have said, this brightness on the light is excellent.
