It's slower than the M1/M3 Airs, yes, but it's still fine. Not gonna notice it in daily use, just when you're transferring big files.

Me personally i would hold out for the m4 which is gonna be a big step up in performance and probably going to cost $999. I think this m2 model should be $650 and m3 should be 750 for this config.

Why? Because of this post I realized that I can get another $50 off on my Amazon order that was recently delivered. This post was very helpful and you're entirely free to disregard the post if you're not interested.

Trade In value with Apple is $615 for this, so I'm glad it isn't less money.

M4 is not a big step up for typical MacBook Air type workloads.

Probably not going to happen. The m4 will take the place of the m3 at $1099. The other models will all be bumped down accordingly. I don't know why you think Apple would lower the price even more after bumping the ram up to 16GB, especially with the talks of tariffs. Apple has a pretty set pricing history across their lineup that almost always holds true as new processors come out. There is no reason we should expect pricingto change even more in the consumers favor.

Is Apple intending to keep producing the m2/3 MacBooks when the m4 ones are available, or will the m2/3 models go on clearance?
