Makes me wonder, though -- the market is in a weird spot right now between ridding itself of inventory OR waiting until tariffs are active and knowing this could be worth more (aka "inventory profits ")

If we're 100% sure tariffs are coming, the market should already be pricing it in. I don't see that in consumer goods or in the stock market yet. I think most people believe it won't happen. The big boss just has to figure out the message first -- you campaign as tough on China, but once your advisors explain how you're about to destroy the middle class, I think some backpedaling will happen.

$.02, no politics, just economics

Just ordered one. My last scooter was hover-1 blackhawk. I rode that to work every workday for 3 years. It just died 2 weeks ago. Hope that this one can perform at least as good. Finders crossed

Previous deals on used scooters on Walmart have proven to be a crapshoot. Since these aren't easily repairable, you're really taking a gamble. Even during the warranty period, you may have trouble finding reliable places that'll actually fix this
This model is a popular modding scooter. Plenty of repair info and parts out there.

Thanks, I looked thru the pictures but cannot find anywhere you can insert a cable lock into, how would one do it with a lock/cable? Thanks
There should be some holes in the front tire section you can insert a lock to prevent from turning fully round. Just make sure get a lock that can fit between the "spokes".

Sure: two main issues:

1) The scooter is poorly built. Back tire fell apart after less than a month of light riding. Went online, and discovered this is a super common problem, and unbelievably expensive to fix (almost impossible to repair yourself, even with tools/expertise). Simple internet search will show you how common this is with this scooter, and it sounds like, other Segway models. This model is particularly difficult to repair.

2) Started down the various levels of hell with Segway CS, and wasted weeks with them. End result: fix/repair would cost MORE than the original cost of the scooter. For a tire?!?!? Asinine.

This scooter is like buying kleenex: be prepared to throw it away after minimal use.
It isn't easy if never done before, but I've done a repair to wheels and can confirm it is possible.
Tire valve broke and had to open the wheels to remove the old and add a new. clamps (got from Harbor Freight for ~$4 ea x 2) and a lot of patience, pliers, and getting into a tight space.

Tarrif tax is gonna be game a changer. This gonna force our manufacturer to come back to us and hiding us workers instead overseas.
The infrastructure is still required. And no one wants to work in a factory. Everyone wants to be in finance, IT or software engineering in the US

The previous F35 deal had a lot of comments stating issues with the scooters having damage and missing things. Anone get this one? Any issues?
I bought 3 and they were all in decent condition

Does this come with a 90 Day Warranty or 1 year Warranty?

It's probably still going to be cheaper to keep manufacturing overseas and just pass the cost on to us than move operations to the US and pay a premium for American workers. Things are about to get a lot more expensive either way.

I'll wait for the Phantom scooters go on sale again at Costco for $300. Easy repairs and better return policy I'm sure, just not sure what that return policy is for scooters. Hopefully not the 90 days policy.
it is just as generous as most other products they sell, in my experience. I am on my third costco scooter. Segway Ninebot, then phantom A8 when that died. The A8's battery died prematurely, so I returned it and bought the A10 they offer online. so far so good.

I got my refurb direct from Segway so YMMV but for me, was air valve within first 2 months. A struggle, but replaceable and a good learning experience. Other than that it's been running beautifully.

I had the previous F35 deal. Is it worth the extra $50 to get this one?
This is better for sure.

Everyone keeps saying this, but the weight limit is 220lbs vs the f35 265lbs. The board looks shorter, but maybe I am wrong. The handle bar height looks smaller as well. This is going to be fine if you are under 180lbs, but you have limited capacity for anything like a decent grocery run. On the upside, this looks like it's better for a teenager, and the self healing tubeless tires look good. I don't like the reports of the rims being a big problem, but tubeless tires are nice even if the self healing eventually fails. You would just plug, or maybe replace the valve stem, and by the time you are down to that it may just be time for a brand new tire.

For me, the f35 is the better deal, but I like to use it to get groceries. 20-40 lbs of groceries is really less than you think. Swapping out the tube is a bit of a pain, but no more than replacing the valve stem if it's an issue. Tube will still work even if you rim is an issue unlike this one where that will get expensive fast. 2x tubes are like $15 on ebay and actually the same yuan xing markings like Segway is selling or sending out under warranty. Repairs on both are a pain, but doable if you take your time. For either, just get a mini cylinder bike pump and carry it with you. if the tube is really truly shot, it should be obvious between rides and flat in a very short time. It's going to happen to either one, so just be prepared. Don't bother with solid tires, the ride will be very hard, it will add weird, and your range will suffer.

If you want something easier to work on, just get a regular old bike without a motor. The motor disconnection is where you are spending most of your time. The regen brakes is the other. Bike won't have that, 10 minute tube change or less once you get the hang of it.

This runs counter to almost everything everyone else says. Can you go into more detail?
I purchased a refurbished g30 last year and Segway's customer service was amazing
