Samsung 990c currently for $660 is a great value for the price point if looking for something for less cost and want plug and play
I don't have experience with the posted deal and not to take away from OP's deal, but can say hands down the 990c is a lot of value for that price point

This sounds notably better than the 990c…. Bose processing and tuning are on point….990c is a huge bar/sub but somehow sounds tinny/weak bass next to this. Worth the extra $100

Tiny speakers and wimpy subwoofer. Any cheap 7.2 avr plus speakers would blow this to kingdom come.
Any cheap 7.2 AVR + speakers will cost more, be an eyesore in a living room, and unlikely ti sound better given the low end components. These Bose systems are tuned well, have excellent processing, and have room correction onboard….you obviously have not heard one recently. most people looking at this left the 80s speaker towers long ago…..

To be fair soundbars are not designed to compete with speaker based systems.
