Definitely doesn't sound like a Walmart, Goodyear, or Kumho problem. Sounds like you just need to go buy yourself some new rims or a new car. There's No way 2 different sets of tires, from two different manufacturers are leaking the same way. If they're aluminum alloy wheels that have some type of clearcoat, sometimes the clear breaks down where the tire bead seats and can cause very slow leaks, cast aluminum wheels can also just become porous over time. If they're Steel wheels, they could be rusting through. You could also have leaking valve stems/tpms. And then you also have the obvious psi drop when the weather gets colder. My suggestion is to pull off the rim and tire that loses pressure the quickest, fill up your bathtub and submerge the rim and tire under the water to see where the air bubbles are coming from. I can just about guarantee the leaks aren't the tires fault unless you've run over some type of foreign object.

This is around how these tires are always priced. Some may be very slightly below typical but the list prices on the ones showing a 50%+ strikethrough discount are a joke. I've had 215/50R17 in my cart for nearly a month and the price hasn't changed.

That being said, based on my research when looking for a new set of tires for my old beater these seem like a good budget tire, especially if you live somewhere it doesn't snow.

excuse my ignorance but I have a 2012 honda CRV ExL (stock rims/wheel)
the well size is (P225/65R17)

Will this work? seems to be the closest fit.

The sidewall profile will be much thinner from a 55 compared to the 65. You risk the wheels getting bent or seriously putting more strain on all suspension components. The thicker sidewall at 65 acts as a buffer or a cushion.

Short answer: Get the correct size tires for your CRV.

Ship to your house and take them to the installer of your choice. I've done Walmart installs a lot before and no issues. I have easy access to a tire machine and do them myself now.

Reading through reviews on Walmart, seems the issue tends to be the installers at Walmart are inconsistent. I have never used Walmart for tires... I usually use discount tire. But for the price on these, I could save$100... But tire install will cost me that at a local installer. I am going to do a bit more research. I always feel like I am getting bent over at the tire store.

All else equal, I also would not recommend sizing down on your sidewall. going for a 65 to a 55 will puts you at a 74.9mph actual speed when your speedometer will read 80mph. That doesn't quite matter as much, but why even have to deal with that when you can wait and just buy your right size.

OTOH, moving to something like 245/55/17 compared to stock puts you much closer to the current ratios. But again, if you're not familiar with tire specs to understand the advantages of a wider tire then its best to stick to OEM size (that's not a knock at all btw, majority of population couldn't care less whereas only 'car guys' do).

Anecdotal but try to do a price match via Mavis Tire (I hear Discount Tire is similar). They will price match whatever you have and include installation costs as a part of the quote, which generally in my experience is a few bucks cheaper than whatever deal they're matching. Plus it's been seamless in terms of installation servicing for me.

Among enthusiasts, at least, I'd put Kumho's reputation above Goodyear across the board, but tires are often a model-by-model thing when comparing.
