I say either go cheaper with x1800h or save a little more and get X3800H. The 2800h doesn't really add much to X1800h to make it worth it if you intend on going that far.

The x1800h is better in that it also has preouts for front speakers to use an amplifier. Strange, you think with 2800h it would be including that feature

What they did with the 2800h is put a Zone 2 in place of preouts for front speakers.

Thanks for the insight into this, I'm still holding out on a x3800 this season. This one was tempting though

Good price since there aren't many feature differences compared to the 3800.
One the biggest people mention is Dirac.

Luckily there is a great alternative called A1EVO and it only cost you purchasing $20 Audyssey Editor app which is a must have with Audyssey imo!

It's very impressive and from personal experience with it, imo very likely won't miss Dirac!

Here is the link, highly recommend looking into it.

Did your friend give you the HDMI dongle to allow the 3700 to pass 8k/60Hz or 4k/120Hz signals? If not, you're at a huge disadvantage against the 3800, especially if you're a gamer w/a modern console!

I purchased this deal and it's been a nightmare to connect. It's not recognizing the Wi-FI, saying ERC is off but it's not, when you hit the back button, it's intermittent, you have to press the setup button and start over. Then it works until I turn off the tv and when I turn it back on it needs to be set up again. I'm so frustrated
