The Bose TV speaker with hdmi arc and center channel tweeter for $129 is the better buy here, also cert refurbished direct from Bose.

Avoid this like the plague. It is a waste of money.
1) Loudness - barely louder than the built-in speakers of a 40 inch HiSense TV (not the best to begin with).
2) Quality - subpar. It's okay for movies, but if there is music, it gets compressed so badly that it sounds worse than a portable bluetooth speaker.
  • the high frequencies are not there at all
  • the bass is boomy but in a bad way - it's not punchy, it's just always there to ruin the soundscape.
Realistically, this should be sold for $39.99.

I have this, my wife got it as an anniversary gift from her work a year ago. We put it our bedroom and we hate it. It is so hard to hear, granted our bedroom has vaulted ceilings. It's so hard to hear voices and we have it turned up all the way. We are replacing it soon and would not recommend this soundbar.
