I use the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Compact Workshop Blower for fires and it's not a one trick pony like this tool. Been using one for years with grills and firepits.

More like a blow dryer without the heating element.

Its more of a hassle and waste of space to carry around/store.

I don't get it. Is this anything other than a battery powered fan?
That's it

There is something to be said for ergonomics and possible protection from heat or melting

I use a contractor portable air compressor on mine, especially when there is a big pile at the end that needs to get cooked down to ash. I setup a piece of 1/2" conduit through a cinder block into the center then stick a blower attachment onto the compressor hose and use a clamp to hold the lever down. 60 psi to the heart will melt aluminum and doesn't cast too much ash around. Just keep raking into the center.

This was too much info but I wanted to tell someone. A portable blower is nice. I've used a shop vac in reverse too

Many are not seeing the need for this. I use my leaf blower outside, but indoors, I do not want ash blown about the living room. Might have to bite on this deal.

They Ryobi I mentioned has three speed settings and speed varies upon trigger pull. No issue blowing ashes around your house at low speed with a light trigger pull.

Wouldnt a mini torch be more compact and effective? Bunch for $10. Guess you need butane though.

Get a portable inflator so you at least have one other use for this stupid tool.

Those air dusters for computers might work as well, but I don't know if the bearing will hold up over prolonged use.

Works out good for picnic or attaching it to my lawn mower during peak summer or just to cool down while sitting in patio…

I wonder if this is strong enough to use on the golf course. Fall weather = lots of leaves in the green.
