Heads up. HP acquired HyperX awhile back and I recall reading about quality loss in these headphones. I haven't tried them first hand though...

I have been using these same headphones for 7 years. They have survived countless drops and interactions with my toddler. They have good sound and mic quality. Would highly recommend getting some aftermarket velour ear pads -- typically run <$20, make them much more comfortable (both on the ears and also get rid of any clamping forces on the temples), and more durable.

Tempted to get a set as a backup, though I already have two back-ups from prior SDs and my first set is still kicking...

Edit: Saw PennyPincher's post about 15% off at the hyperx site (the real SD is in the comments). $33 for Cloud 2 with free shipping? Great deal, had to get it.

Extra 15% off $39.00 if purchased on HyperX's website, free ship for my address as well.
I have used their keyboard for awhile now, def giving these a shot. Seems like they sell long lasting products.
BTW, first time posting, but been using this site for a long time, thanks to everyone who has helped save me some cash over the years!
Thanks to this comment and the other commenter talking about their wireless version, I grabbed a pair of wireless for only ~$75. The coupon does not appear to work for the wired version.

Thanks and Repped.

The only thing bad about these headset is the hinges that are easily broken and there is no part replacement available from HyperX. You can buy it from eBay for the 3D printed part.

These were great overall and sound quality the only issue I have is the ear muff material falls apart after 6 to 8 months.
They come with a 2nd set of pads and the replacements don't cost much on Amazon either

Dang sorry, I used it just a few hours before you posted. They must not have intended the sale to be combined with the coupon because I got the wireless version for an all time low. Great deal.

Edit: Just checked and the code is still working for the wireless, not the wired.

These are some of my all time favorites. I've used expensive steel series etc. which inevitably fall apart. Even when I treated them well... these sound great to me and I play FPS at a pretty high level. And I know someone, certainly not me though, that might have spiked a pair like a football, a half dozen times or so and there's nary a dent.... but I think I'll let that someone, who certainly isn't me, know that they are on sale like this. If you know anyone that needs a good set but might have a teeny anger issue or is just hard on things they might be a good candidate for these.
