Specs and price look great, but I am seeing mixed reviews regarding intermittent black screen issues. Can anyone share recent experiences?

Okay fam, should I get this LG 27" 4K, or a comparable LG 34" ultrawide QHD for a similar price? I sit about two feet away from my monitor and do a mix of non-competitive gaming, media consumption, and productivity. I'd be coming from an LG 29" 75hz ultrawide FHD monitor, and I have a 3070ti and an AMD 7600x.
I understand I'd be losing about 1.5" on each side if I went to the 27" 4K from my current monitor, and I'd have to rely on DLSS to get decent fps on modern games, but is the 4K upgrade in image quality worth it for everything else?

I think 4k is worth it if you plan to use it for non-gaming too.

No. I think it's a perfect size. Screen too big makes you move your eyes more.

No. Perfect size.

I also had this monitor for 1-2 years and it's easily the best purchase I've ever made. Beautiful picture

I paid $600 for it so you guys are getting a steal with this one.

This is a very good and capable monitor for the price. With that said, have you checked out the Gigabyte M28U? Some say that is slightly better than this LG, but only slightly.

Thanks, after a lot of research and waffling I decided to aim for a 32" 4K, so I put the M32U on my list of options!

I have 2 27" LG 4k monitors.
4k at 27 is counter productive.
At 100% resolution EVERYTHING looks TINY. You have to dial up the scale 150%, even 175%. Then everything like windows take up too much space. It's just not optimal.

As things are, I think even 32" 2k is better option than a 4k at 27".

I switched from a Dell S2722QC to the M28U, which is the smaller version of the M32U, and I'm very happy with it. It has 4 inputs and a KVM switch, which I've made a lot of use out of between console gaming and switching between my work computer and personal computer.

The Dell was a good monitor, but I added a console to my office setup and needed a monitor that was capable at both office and gaming.

The Rtings link posted above has a section of the review on how it works with a Mac.

I have a M2 Mac Mini and use a Gigabyte M28U which is similar to this monitor and have no issues. I guess it depends on use case, but for web browsing and productivity work, this should be very capable.

Agreed. My 4k 27" never lived in native mode.

However it's nice to watch movies in 4k
