For you home automation enthusiasts, this "w/ Voice Control" is not something built into the switch (thankfully!). From the Amazon listing: "【Voice Control】Enjoy the hands-free convenience of controlling the lights in your home with your voice via Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant."

For those who are newer to smart switches, like me: I did some research, and if you have a switch plate that has more than one switch on it, you can still use these. You can purchase switch plate covers that have multiple openings for these switches or even switch plate covers that are "hybrid" - so they allow for these switches as well as some original switches.

(Sorry if the terminology is wrong - like I said, I'm a newbie!)

Picked these up to control my front and back door outdoor light. Tired of having to get up to switch them on/off.

First time hearing about Matter and I have a house full of Kasa/Tapo devices, which replaced a house full of Insteon devices.

Would these work as a 3way switch?

Keep in mind that these require a neutral wire to power the switch. Most of the time they wire the neutral wire through switch box in the wall but once in awhile I run into ones that only have load and ground which won't work for these switches. Just an fyi.

They are single pole, so won't work in a 3 way switch setup. You can still use them if you are willing to forego the aux switch functionality

Nah, I did that in my living room and don't miss it but it does stink a bit when Alexa decides not to hear you.

Amateur here- what other option besides single pole would I need to use for a 3-way switch?

A few weeks ago, I bought four of these before heading out on a trip. They were easy to set up with Apple HomeKit and integrate into Home Assistant, where I created a simple automation to control the lights at sunrise and sunset. However, on the first morning of my trip, one of the switches showed as unresponsive.

I tried several remote troubleshooting steps but couldn't get it working. When I got home, I pressed the small reset button on the switch, and it started working again. I'm not sure what caused the issue, but they've been working smoothly since then. Installation was easy and I am overall satisfied with them so far.
