It's not necessary to replace both 3 way switches - the existing 3 way line side switch can be replaced, and the existing 3 way load side "dumb" switch can remain in place.

I've been waiting for a Caseta Diva deal, but I'm seriously considering just going Tapo everywhere. I had a rental with a bunch of Kasa switches and they were all flawless. I think the hemming and hawing about wifi is overblown, I've had way more trouble with various smart device hubs than I've ever had with wifi IoT devices.
Which bring me to my hang up about Tapo: If you want accessory buttons, they require a hub.

It's not necessary to replace both 3 way switches - the existing 3 way line side switch can be replaced, and the existing 3 way load side "dumb" switch can remain in place.
If you have Echo/Alexa devices, you can cross integrate the Tapo light switches and motion detection in the cameras - an example would be to have a porch light trigger to turn on through the Tapo switch when the Ring devices senses motion overnight for example. You'll just need to add the Ring skill and the Tapo skill to Alexa, so that they can both be accessed in the same Alexa routine.
I have eufy devices and TP-Link's Kasa switches working in this way - easily turns a doorbell cam into a motion sensing porch light.
