Got my Verizon iPhone today. added a payment method on my new Verizon account.
dialed 8008374966 and provided the new phone number
Said "pay off device" when asked the reason for calling and follow the prompts.
Fully paid the 299$ for the device with Automated system without talking with a live person.

Then called in and spoke to a live person and canceled the line.

Last time a bunch of us did this, I believe we learned that the clock starts ticking for the Verizon 3 day cancellation when the phone ships. Thus it was recommended to only buy in store and not for shipping. I was able to buy in store, create account, call Verizon to pay in full and then cancel all within 24-36 hours.

If you're waiting 3 days for the shipment I don't see you getting out of the activation fee.

So they refunded the activation fee as well? Nice

Not sure if I am seeing this right, but you have to have 2 months of service and the plans they are offering me are 1 of 3 plans: ( Unlimited Ultimate $100.00/mo ), (Unlimited Plus $90.00/mo), or (Unlimited Welcome $75.00/mo ).. So if you add that onto the phone cost that's another say 75 x 2 = 150 a month ?

The deal is trying to cancel the account before 3 days to avoid most of that.

So you would pay $300 plus tax and like $5-$20 for 3 day fees

If the phone is activated upon shipping, can't we just call and cancel the line once it ships? Or do we physically need to have the phone and turn it on first to truly activate it? I'm stuck waiting to order on Saturday since I don't want it to have a day wasted incase it's stuck in transit on Sunday
I have the same question.

Check a few posts up. Someone put the phone number to call Call using try calling with a non Verizon number. Put a credit card on your account prior to calling. Know the new cell phone number

When you call, say you want to pay off a device.

It will ask if you want to use your credit card on file, say yes.

I did that a few hours ago and my phone is getting delivered tomorrow.

Now my next task is to cancel the line

I called Verizon customer service and asked if I could payoff the iphone over the phone and they told me that I need to wait a month to be able to pay it off. Is that true? Appreciate your help!

How can I pay it off in store/ receive the phone in store, so that I dont have to worry about the 3 days shipping time thing. Can I order it in store or something? or do I order online, and then go to any Walmart for pickup? and how do u know if ur Walmart offers these services?

Has anyone tried to cancel the line after the phone is shipped and is in transit before receiving it?

Build and link your phone line at Verizon.com and ADD a credit card to your account.
Dial 800-837-4966 from your new device
Say "pay off device" when asked the reason for calling and follow the prompts.
Call in the cancel line next.....

do you know how exactly, you can go in store before the 3 days to pay off? do you pick up the phone in store? Can you pay off even if the phone has not arrived at your delivery address?

If $7.12 is 1 day you'd be paying over $200/month
