Got my Verizon iPhone today. added a payment method on my new Verizon account.
dialed 8008374966 and provided the new phone number
Said "pay off device" when asked the reason for calling and follow the prompts.
Fully paid the 299$ for the device with Automated system without talking with a live person.

Then called in and spoke to a live person and canceled the line.

Last time a bunch of us did this, I believe we learned that the clock starts ticking for the Verizon 3 day cancellation when the phone ships. Thus it was recommended to only buy in store and not for shipping. I was able to buy in store, create account, call Verizon to pay in full and then cancel all within 24-36 hours.

If you're waiting 3 days for the shipment I don't see you getting out of the activation fee.

If $7.12 is 1 day you'd be paying over $200/month
I think the federal phone line fee is not prorated, so for those fees, you need to pay for the whole month. The phone plan is prorated though.

do you know how exactly, you can go in store before the 3 days to pay off? do you pick up the phone in store? Can you pay off even if the phone has not arrived at your delivery address?
I don't think this is for in store pick up.

It is technically now Thursday, so I would personally not order so late because of the weekend and the 3 day 'hack'

Read a few posts up, someone mentioned the number to call in order to pay off the device. Have a credit card on file.

I paid off my $299 a few hours ago and my device is still in transit. It should be delivered tomorrow. It was 'activated yesterday, the 12th. I ordered it on the 11th.

It says currently this device isn't eligible to be paid off. You can come back on 12/10/2024 to pay this off .

Is there a way to know new phone number so that I can pay this off on shipment itself after linking to my account? I forgot to take snapshot of contract where the new phone number was written

Log in to your online verizon account. It should be there.

Also, check if verizon emailed you documents. Walmart might've emailed them

****Verizon***

My phone just shipped. I don't know when I will receive it.I set up the account and linked my credit card.

Can I call the 800 number posted above and pay off $299 and then wait until the device is received and then cancel..

OR can I cancel even before the device was received?

Are you able to cancel the line while the phone is still in transit?

Did you call using a verizon number?

I called using a Tmobile line

If I call using my verizon primary line, it will think I want to pay my main line

I'm not sure anyone has tried that. Mine should get delivered tomorrow but it requires direct signature. If I miss the FedEx guy, I will call verizon to cancel
