Got my Verizon iPhone today. added a payment method on my new Verizon account.
dialed 8008374966 and provided the new phone number
Said "pay off device" when asked the reason for calling and follow the prompts.
Fully paid the 299$ for the device with Automated system without talking with a live person.

Then called in and spoke to a live person and canceled the line.

Last time a bunch of us did this, I believe we learned that the clock starts ticking for the Verizon 3 day cancellation when the phone ships. Thus it was recommended to only buy in store and not for shipping. I was able to buy in store, create account, call Verizon to pay in full and then cancel all within 24-36 hours.

If you're waiting 3 days for the shipment I don't see you getting out of the activation fee.

For anyone asking about the resale value of these, I wouldn't bother.

These are between $350 to $400 swappa used and mint market.

You'll make max maybe $30-$70 in profit after the whole thing. Not worth the time and shipping.

If you contact Apple they will help with the warranty. This happens all of the time with these Walmart phones - they'll ask you to send your order info/receipt to verify purchase date. I usually have to print my order off for them and since the order usually doesn't have the serial or IMEI they will ask me to write it on the order. I've done this at least 4 times.

Have you checked ebay prices? The 256gb sells for at least $600.

Just download the customer agreement info from verizon account. The first page has all this info that you can send to apple.

Thanks for this. So you print out your receipt/confirmation email and physically write the imei/sn?
I'm having an issue with another iPhone I ordered a few months ago.
Hopefully this will work

Sorry If I am repeating comments already made but just want to double sure.
1) I purchased the Verizon option from Walmart. - Black 256 GB Midnight Color
2) Selected the 75$ per month plan
3) Total came to 26 and change
4) Product arrives on Nov 16th.
5) When the product arrives, I go to the store with the serial number, etc and make a full payment of the device
6) Come back home and call verizon to disconnect the service.
Is this the correct sequence of steps.
Worst Case Scenario - if I am not able to pay the phone off and cancel within the 3 days period - I have to pay the activiation fees of $35 and the first month fees of $ 75.
Am I missing something here. Wont Verizon hold me liable to be signed up for 36 months ?

If you call them they will walk you through it. Just explain to them you recently bought the phone but the date of warranty seems to be incorrect.

Looking at the AT&T web site...is the deal for $1000 off the iPhone 15 pro max even available? It is saying $20.99 with bill credits (multiplied by 36 months is a total of $755.64, which is only $344.25 off of the full price of the iPhone 15 pro max...and given that you are paying $299 for this iPhone 14 as well...you would be saving about $50 on an iPhone 15 pro max...and I think have an extra iPhone 14 that you don't need to trade in for the iPhone 15 PM). It looks like the iPhone 16 Pro line is the only ones with the $1000 value trade-in deals at this time. You could get the regular iPhone 15 for cheaper than the Walmart iPhone 14 deal (though presumably with the lower storage of 128 GB), currently at $5.99 per month for 36 months (the Walmart iPhone 14 deal for either 128 OR 256 GB, whichever you bought, costs $8.31 per month), and for the iPhone 15 AT&T deal you just need bill credits for 36 months. Which you wrote that you wanted to go with a 36-month commitment to AT&T per your post anyway.Any reason you didn't want the iPhone 16 pro max? You'd probably pay less over 36 months.
oh, i was using it as an example. it was last year promotion when i bought ip13 then turn around and trade in for ip15 pro.
