Guys, if I make an order today. Wouldn't that delay the delivery since some carriers don't work in the weekend? Which will decrease the chances of it arriving in lesser than 3 business days?

I am planning to do same. Looks like the system allowing to cancel, as the system shows the device is already paid off. Did you get the activation fee waived? and what is your final bill.
They were able to cancel and it still shows 61 with the activation and all the govt surcharges. He has taken full note with the commitment of waiving it and the final bill between $10 to 15. Given name and all details.

I intend to call later today to try again or worst case ensure the note is still there.

it is in contract which you sign with walmart while placing order. or activate phone once you receive so you can link with phone number instead. or wait for them to send you invoice at your address in a week or two of placing order. except first, the rest of the options would likely not happen within 3 days windows.

Dang I overlooked the contract on Walmart site. I will call Verizon wireless to get the account number now.

Update: cancelled the order with walmart.com and placed a new order. Captured account information this time. Thanks folks for the help.

For those of you who had your line activated during shipping, do you get this text in your email "When your wireless device arrives, you'll need to activate it"?
If not, can you post a screenshot of the email?
Also how do I verify if my line is activated or not?
I am asking because it was shipped earlier today and will arrive on Nov 19 so it will be more than 3 days. If it is really not activated by Walmart during shipping then the 3 days window (for cancellation without paying activation fee) starts from the day I activate following their instructions?
Thanks

I have the account number and phone number from contract but cannot link the account to verizon online account.

Using account number I receive following message, you need to be the owner of the account to be able to link the service.

With phone number, verizon do not even recognize the number being active on their network.

Is anyone else see similar issue or I can do this only after the phone is shipped by walmart?

Vs cancelling via chat or phone can you just port the number out effectively cancelling the plan and triggering refunds?

Can I use a Verizon Gift Card at any Verizon store to pay off a new mobile phone, either partially or fully?

Why won't they let me upgrade my phone online? I need to visit the local WalMart store?

I am new to Verizon. Received the phone today. Connected it to WIFI but the only options to activate cellular service are transfer from another iphone or scan a QR code.
How am I going to get the new phone number?

You need to call in to activate, then get the new number. I did the same. But still unable to payoff - the system is not updated so it's says the phone is already paid off.

After placing order online, when you received the account information from Verizon over email?
Never. I just used the phone number obtained during order to open an account myself. By the time Walmart said the phone was shipping two days later, I was able to link the account to the number. BTW, the phone hasn't shipped yet, 4 days after ordering.

I didn't note the number during order creation. Is it possible to do a free return of the phone?
And order a new one again?

This would be a new account for me if I used AT&T or Verizon, it seems like if it goes well, Verizon is the easiest path to pay off quickly and close the account, but the unlock will take the 60 days, were as AT&T is quicker for the unlock if you can transfer the number to a non-AT&T phone, my question is, is the AT&T line closure process as easy as Verizon? I will wait the 60 days with Verizon if it means I can have less issues closing everything out, but if AT&T is just as easy, Id rather aim for the earlier unlock.
