These have been the recent prices. Lowest were about 1.5 months ago when they did a bundling discount AND you could trade-in your old appliances.

I love our induction range, would never go back to gas. That said, it's a Frigidaire that was cheaper (normal price) then these Samsungs.

Cheaper prices if you use EDU EPP pricing. Prices seem to be average though.

Cheapest induction still hovering at $850

Got this samsung induction range cheapest one around same price from home depot so these deals are only slightly better with edu discount so i say wait for better deal. I got mine since had additonal $400 off from verizon fios promo.

The circulon set that you get a rebate for free with the samsung induction stoves is pretty good and would value over $100 if you need a set compatible with induction. Kind of like the infamous hexclad where it is like a stainless steel that is easier to clean and more forgiving but not as foolproof as nonstick.

The induction works well but the touchscreen is a bit annoying because you have to hold down to get it started and cleaning causes random button presses. Other than that I much prefer over regular electric and even over gas due to cleaning and heat in summer. Induction starts heating up very fast and no radiant heat making you feel hot when cooking in summer and easy to clean soon after cooking.

In 2013, we moved into our existing home, and we had a radiant electric range. Absolutely hated it, but the cost to get a new gas line run was just too much. Swore to myself I would get gas in the next house.

In 2020, I was reading a lot about induction, so I took a shot on an induction range.

In 2024, we are drafting plans on a new house, and it comes with a gas range by default. We told the builder to remove it from the plan and put in an induction cooktop. That's how much we love induction.

Inb4 people come in here and start complaining about their low-end model Samsung appliances crapping out on them.

Have had a bespoke freezer, and it is legit. Delivery company put a descent size dent in it, and I've also moved it 3-4 times and it still works great.

I just installed one of these Samsung, coming from gas, and here's my quick list:

Pros:

- Heats up ridiculously fast. Boils water in probably 1/8th the time when using power boost.
- Sides of pans/handles stay relatively cool.
- Responsiveness to adjustment is just as fast as gas.
- No worry about gas combustion byproducts in the home.
- The glass induction surface doesn't get super hot, so things don't burn onto it very easily, and even if they did it's still so much easier to clean than a stainless cooktop.

Cons:

- Because there's no hot air around the pan, I'm getting a lot of condensation on my vent hood grills, which drips back down onto my range. This happens mostly when boiling water, but even with my hood turned up and running quite loud, there's still condensation.
- Obviously not all pans are compatible with induction. My existing non-sticks and even some cheaper stainless steel pans were not compatible.
- There is a limit to how much power the range can draw, so even on a 40A circuit if you try to run the oven while maxing out multiple induction elements, it will have to power ration. If possible, it would be better to have an induction cooktop and wall oven(s) on separate circuits.
- (Specific to this Samsung design) everything is touch-screen control so it takes some getting used to and is a bit less convenient than having knobs, but it is more pet/accidental turn-on proof.

With that said, after being on induction for a week, I would not choose to go back to gas... but I am going to need to solve the condensation issue, likely with a new vent hood that is higher from the range surface.

Their ranges are fine. We've had our induction range for over 7 years now with very active usage and 0 hiccups. We barely eat outside, maybe once a month. The range has also cooked at least 500 sourdough bread thanks to wife's home bakery.

about the same price as costco after install and delivery and haul away, and 2nd year warranty as well. Which one is a better choice? Costco delivery or Samsung?

Just curious which one are you referring from the Costco? I only see $829 for NSG6DG8100SR from Costco. This Samsung deal is about $720 ($675 + $30 shipping + $15 haul away) for NSG6DG8300SRAA.

Bought a cheap gas Samsung range 8 years ago and it's been great. Might be upgrading
