They can all be controlled together in the tapo app, the kasa app will only control kasa.

I came to the comments for the same question which sent me on a quest for knowledge. Kasa was a sub brand of TP-Link which was operated independently. The Tapo brand brings it all into in house TP-Link development. It's always confused me because I have quite a few Kasa mini plugs that I use as timed lighting solutions around my house. From what I gather they can all be operated within the same app. Confusing for sure, though. Whomever decided to do this should get kicked.

Yes, old Kasa plugs can still be controlled through the Tapo app. I currently have some Kasa plugs and Tapo devices mixed and don't have any issues with either.

What's the difference between Kasa and Tapo devices? Don't they use the same app?

These 2 show on the main post here as HomeKit compatible but I don't think they are. The ones that work are clearly labeled as Matter but these aren't.

Smart Single Pole Light Switch, Works with Alexa and HomeKit, Neutral Wire Needed (HS200P3) [amazon.com] $29.99
Smart Single Pole Dimmer Switch, Dimmable Light Switch, Works with Alexa and HomeKit, Neutral Wire Needed (HS220P3) [amazon.com]$39.99

That's a good price. You get two switches for that price. Also if you search online there is a way of only using one smart 3-way switch per loop. You just have to connect it to the wall that has the power coming in from the breaker that way the smart switch stays on. The other smart switch can be used in another three way circuit

The ones in your link are model P115. They do not support the Matter protocol, but everything else is the same as the P110M

i never know if i should be buying the regular, the homekit, or the matter versions anymore... i have an iphone, but no homekit router device. It is convenient to use the homekit shortcuts, but i plan to use my smart things until i set up home assistant

Looking at some of the Tapo products and compatibility, it seems that some Tapo products can work on a low-frequency network and are Matter compatible. Those that are Matter compatible will requite a hub. Whereas Kasa strictly works on 2.4Ghz WiFi.

I needed some of these outdoor plugs. This is a perfect pairing with the Chase 30% off (max $15) deal since these are sold by Amazon. Thanks OP!
