You can both be right. Just because yours didn't leak doesn't mean theirs didn't. If someone has a different experience from you, that doesn't mean it's "fake."

We've probably gone through about 800 AA and few cases of AAA's. We use them in older handheld radios and some legacy barcode scanners in warehouses. First batch of 500 batteries (AAAs) 2 cases had some batteries which started leaking within 3 months. Only one batch of AAs had some batteries leaking. The Max Power/Longlife version fare better. Could be the temperature swings in the warehouses as they are not climate controlled.

Something else of note. We noticed some batteries had different manufactured years, yet the same "best by" years.

These leak..ALOT! Best bang for the money has to be Costco's Kirkland batteries when they are on sale like they are now. Very similar to Duracell. I've heard Duracell manufactures the Kirkland batteries. Could be wrong but much of the battery testing performed online would indicate they are VERY similar.

In for 1 AA for the holidays, i personally have multiple things running on them for the holiday season and go through them, then , no matter how little it was used, my husband recycles what we have in the items because he doesn't want used up batteries in storage. For this price it will cost me $10 to light up the holiday season so thanks op

How many have you seen leak and how fast?

You might have just got some bad ones. Theres ~400 reviews on these on Amazon and I only see 1 person citing leaking acid.

I have a pack of 100x VARTA AA's that I bought this summer and all are 100% fine.
