All current Tracfone , Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile ONLY operates and activates on the Verizon Network exclusively. That's cause Verizon bought all of them. So any new phone will unlock in 60 days from ALL of them.

$262 otd to California. After reading 25 pages, here's my summary:

1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

You don't need to do anything. It should get unlocked after 60 days. Some rare case it didn't get unlocked, go https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/ and give the imei (and the phone number you got) and it will let you "reprocess" the unlock request online, if you still can't get it unlocked, you just call the phone number on that web page and they will unlock it for you. With that said, most time it will get unlocked automatically and you don't need to do anything.

... Welcome to slickdeal. Relax and enjoy yourself on the site. I believe there is only ONE version of this apple iphone 13, and all the normal bands should work on it, once it is unlocked. We can both learn by how the other guys respond. In the past , some brands would have different versions of same phone. So you did have to check. Maybe research it yourself or call apple, or search on google. Good luck. If you are nice, plenty of people will respect you, but we do have some unstable people in the rooms, so try to over-look them (and smile) and move on to "nice" people in slick deals. Smilie

Yes, being unlocked would mean it could be used anywhere.

It will be interesting to see how quickly it will drop in price with these prepaid companies.

For those comparing the IP14 Walmart deal and this one be aware the Walmart iP14 is $100 more but it is also a 256GB versus 128GB phone storage if that matters to you. A normal $100 upgrade usually in a phone family plus the 14 is newer and has 6GB ram versus 4GB ram, a slightly better camera, crash detection and the emergency satellite messenger in case of an emergency when you have no cell service. Everything else is the same or similar between 13 and 14.

They could be getting hammered, last year I didn't get a confirmation email till after order had shipped. Tracfone/Straight Talk/Total Wireless systems aren't the most efficient.

I already have the straight talk iphone SE 2022 which I got cheap ($49+$35 plan) with a Walmart deal on November 2023. It has the same exact processor and actually was released after the iphone 13. It seems redundant to get this as an upgrade. The biggest con is a 6.1" display. It is really hard to go back to small screen/small battery when I have been using like 6.5" and bigger phones with large batteries. Display size and battery (endurance/fast charging) are high priorities for me nowadays.

thanks for telling us about the difference between iphone 13 vs 14. With the walmart deal, is it NO contract? ... I wasn't sure. I understand the 8.99 dollar monthly fee for the phone cost , but the plan I wasn't sure about. Do you know? If both were straight talk , I would go for the iphone 14 for another 100 dollars. So, do you know what is up with all the extra conditions of the walmart plan?
