All current Tracfone , Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile ONLY operates and activates on the Verizon Network exclusively. That's cause Verizon bought all of them. So any new phone will unlock in 60 days from ALL of them.

$262 otd to California. After reading 25 pages, here's my summary:

1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

You don't need to do anything. It should get unlocked after 60 days. Some rare case it didn't get unlocked, go https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/ and give the imei (and the phone number you got) and it will let you "reprocess" the unlock request online, if you still can't get it unlocked, you just call the phone number on that web page and they will unlock it for you. With that said, most time it will get unlocked automatically and you don't need to do anything.

Yeah, you can set it up and use it as a Wi-Fi device for now and activate the service later. It will still unlock fine 60 days after the service activation. The physical phone activation doesn't have any bearing on it.

Plan will be added when phone is activated, it's included on sim. They haven't used separate plan cards for several years.

A year ago I was told by ST CS that there was no time limit for activating the service. I think I ended up waiting about a month to activate the two ST lines that I got.

I was doing it on my phone via the BF cb app and scrolling through the screens too quickly. So I just accidentally ordered a 13 at full price ($399 + $45 + taxes). Argh

I tried again to order a phone, whenever I log into my second ST account (the one I previously used to order 2 phones at once and where the order got cancelled) the $200 discount goes away. So it looks like this account has been flagged.

nice deal ...all my charges showed up as Tracfone (BeF, Paypal and Chase), so not sure how cash back will work out, if at all.

edit 1: BeF showed up properly @ 10% but has a cap of $30 (i bought 2 phones).

If the 14 deal appears in actual stores tomorrow it'll be superior but as it is now it won't arrive before the 3 day window so you will get stuck with the activation charges no matter what which is another 45 bucks

I'd also text UNLOCK to 611611 and see if you get an unlock date. For some reason, chat agents sometimes seem to enter them as BYOD phones.
