A few years ago I got a legion for a similar price after an EDU discount, other sale discounts, and cash back I got a 3070 legion, but not sure how to compare oranges to mandarins here (if that analogy works, since different models have different nits and etc, inflation occurred, etc). The I-9 might be better than my AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz, but I might hold off until a sale with a 4070 is for this same price instead. Maybe its a forgone dream to wait for that, lol. Maybe a 4070 with an EDU discount and cash-back site usage is viable now? Have to check.

CPU is good but 4070 is better for QHD and 4070 laptops are $200 cheaper. This isn't the Legion Pro or anything so it's standard build quality.

I can't find the spec on the B&H page that refers to this as having the 500 nits display. There are two available (350 or 500) on this platform.

Sorry, it is clearly listed in the specs.

Costco has been selling the 350 nits screen, whereas this is the 500 nits screen, which is anywhere from a $100 to $150 upgrade on the Lenovo site.

But neither this one or the one Costco is selling are the Pro ... at this price point, I would expect to see the Pro in order to be FP.

Well Lenovo with same spec is 1762 so this is a good deal.compared to that. I ended up getting the 5i pro with the i7 14700 processor for 1230ish after coupon.
I did read some differences between the 5i and 5i pro and I felt the differences are enough for me to go to 5i pro instead.

Recently bought Lenovo laptop.. the Lenovo patches they push and you are prompted to install. It bricked my laptop. Warranty allowed me to mail to repair.. it's going to be a month b4 I might get it back. It needs a new hard drive but a month is needed. Omg should you even consider Lenovo??
