From $35 to $120+ after one year. That's obscene.
Don't forget to cancel

I hate xfinity, always gaming new customer deals and screw anyone that has been on more than 2 years, or in this case after 1 year. Yes I know the deal to complain, threaten to cancel or even do cancel and resign but its a PIA

Can I move one Xfinity line which is on gig plan to my unlimited line plan for this $35 deal? I do not see anywhere it is asking for new line but at the same time not sure if can use existing line from another account to move to my new account that I am going to create
you'd probably have to move your current line to some cheap prepaid first and then from there back to xfinity.

Hey join the club. I hate them too, but I'd rather this than my other unfortunate option in my area its CenturyLink which is still using DSL I've tried for T-Mobile home as I have them for cell phone but they keep telling me 5G TMO home internet is not in my area yet however I'm full bars on my cell phone. Which unfortunately leads to us having to do this song and dance every year or two. However, I'd rather do the call complain retention department scenario, than ever paying Comcast They're " bent over and take it" full price.

I think I did the cheapest plan on tello mobile. A lot of the other MVOs with their promotional first month plans won't let you transfer a number out

When I used to be stuck with Xfinity I just signed up for new plans before the end of the promo. It doesn't count as a cancellation.
How exactly are you doing this? Using a different name?

35 per month for a year then it doubles or triple the price after a years
I am with them for last 2 years, they never tried to go over $30.00 , as a matter of fact, we lost power/internet for coupe le of time and they give us one month credit every time. I am paying for 300 MB/s but its continuously over 620 MB/S for last 9+ month. if they don't renew the deal will transfer to Fios for few months and then try to comeback.

How fast is it to, say, cut off my dad's full price Xfinity service and restore service on my mom's name as a new customer? Same physical address, same physical cable, modem etc.

My wife and I have switched accounts for many years every time a deal expires. I started going in store because you get the equipment right away. You will have to constantly replace modems every time you switch but it saves hundreds.
My wife and I have switched accounts for many years every time a deal expires, as well.

typically.
contract ends.
day 1. cancel the service. but service will continue for ~ 4-7 more days even tho billing will stop. (essentially free service for `~ 4-7 days)

~day 7 (when old service is confirmed off) . sign up with spouse info.
will require a new modem.
they stopped allowing the use of same modem.
specifically to stop people doing this switching.

i never go to store.
do all online.

yes. it is a little inconvenient that internet may be down for ~1 day.
but so be it.
in fact , the last 2 times i have done this.
internet was not down at all,

edit.
just checked.
currently paying $50 for just internet. since ~5/2024
Download speed: up to 800 Mbps, Upload speed: up to 20 Mbps.
bay area.

For Xfinity internet only deals, every time I've signed up for a new contract the price stated at checkout is exactly what I was billed every month for that period. However this deal includes mobile service which I could see adding extra monthly fees they don't tell you about. Can anyone confirm how much more extra in fees they were charged after signing up?

Right now I have 300mbps Xfinity internet only and my $39/month promo ends next month, my Mint mobile plan expires in a few days. So I'm seriously considering canceling my current Xfinity internet and porting my Mint number to sign up for this deal. I'm undecided however as if I ever port out my number during the 1 year contract, they'll raise the price of the internet plan.
